Curry Barker’s horror hit Obsession is finally making its way to the streaming platforms. Starring Michael Johnston as Bear and Inde Navarrette as Nikki, the movie has been receiving praise from the audience for its storyline and eerie details. As per the recent reports, interested viewers will be able to stream the movie from June 25 on Apple TV and Amazon Prime.
More on the story below.
When does Obsession come out on streaming platforms?

Obsession first debuted at the 2025 Toronto International Film Festival under the Midnight Madness lineup. The movie was released earlier this May in the United States and gained 8.1 stars on IMDb from over 100k viewers.
As per the previous reports, Obsession was scheduled to release on June 2 on Prime Video. However, because of its theatrical success, the schedule has reportedly been delayed, with the release now pushed to a new speculated date that is June 25. Although June 25 is widely reported, the production has yet to officially announce the confirmed date of the release.
However, Obsession won’t be free for the Prime Video subscribers, as the movie will be offered on a rent-only basis. Along with Prime Video, it will also be available to rent on Apple TV, giving viewers two options to choose from.
Should Obsession be on your watchlist?
If you love realistic horror movies that don’t include ghosts but do include eerie and spooky scenes, then you should definitely add this horror movie to your watchlist.
The movie is about Bear, a guy who likes Nikki and wants to be in a relationship with her. However, he is too afraid to share his feelings with her, and in order to buy a crystal, he comes across One Wish Willow. He uses it to get his wish of being in a relationship with Nikki.
While he didn’t take it seriously at first, he gets creeped out after finding differences in Nikki’s behavior as the movie progresses.
Nikki, on the other hand, took Bear as her brother and didn’t have feelings for him. However, after Bear wishes that she loved only him in the whole world, things take a dark turn, with Nikki slowly becoming a different person.
The movie includes creepy scenes where Nikki is seen trapped inside her own body, asking for help at times. Along with them, the movie also includes Nikki’s friends Ian and Sarah, who question her connection with Bear, especially since Sarah liked Bear and Nikki was involved with Ian.
The ending of the movie seems realistic with the stakes involved. Nikki, who was trapped all along, finally comes to her senses, but Bear has a heavy price to pay to bring her back. After its release, Inde Navarrette, who plays the character of Nikki, received praise for her acting in the movie, especially for the walking scenes and facial expressions.
The movie has a runtime of one hour and forty-nine minutes.
