Natasha Lyonne claims ICE detained her after being removed from Delta flight

Natasha Lyonne addressed a chaotic ordeal while traveling on board a late-night flight belonging to Delta Airlines, where she was forced off the plane after consuming a prescription sleeping pill.

The actress posted on X/Twitter on Apr. 10 after news broke that she had been removed from her flight.

Natasha Lyonne had been consuming Lunesta after boarding the flight, according to her post, and she had divulged her intention of sleeping prior to appearing on The Drew Barrymore Show during the promotion for the third season of Euphoria.

“Indeed, I took a Lunesta once seated, to ensure some shut eye on the Delta One red eye flight to NYC.”

Natasha Lyonne also stated in her tweet that she was getting aboard the plane with minimal luggage.

“Boarded seamlessly with just a backpack and sneakers, eager for a nap. Plan was to be bushy tailed & beauty rested, as I was meant to head straight to glam for a slot with our beloved @DrewBarrymore, upon landing.”

She stated that things worsened due to crew involvement, which resulted in her being removed from the plane.

“Was looking forward to seeing Drew & an in depth convo, but I guess ICE had other plans & I was detained instead. Sign of the times, I guess.”

Near the end of her post, she cited the involvement of U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE), indicating that she did not expect such an incident to occur.

Natasha Lyonne apologizes for the flight delay

The incident occurred after she attended a Euphoria Season 3 event early on in the week.

Nevertheless, Natasha Lyonne ended her statement on a grateful note for the backing of her fans, while sending her comments to the airport staff and TSA employees.

“Thanks for all the love and support. Never had a problem with @Delta or @TSA before. Heart is with our unpaid @TSA workers. Apologies to any travelers who were delayed.”

As of writing, no further statements from Delta Air or authorities have been released.
