Kim Marlowe says she managed Fab for 25 years and now can’t afford her legal fees
Kim Marlowe, the estranged wife of Milli Vanilli member Fab Morvan, says she has only $50 to her name and a handful of Milli Vanilli memorabilia. She is now asking a court to order Fab to pay her $75,000 to help cover attorney and forensic accounting fees as their divorce continues.

According to court documents, Kim claims she spent approximately 25 years serving as Fab’s manager and publicist during the course of their relationship. She is seeking the $75,000 in legal support to help her navigate what has become a drawn-out and financially taxing divorce process. The marriage date listed in court filings is December 3, 1998, meaning the couple’s relationship spanned more than 25 years, much of it conducted in private before the divorce filing became public in early 2024.
Kim says health issues combined with what she describes as a broad slowdown across the entertainment industry have made it difficult for her to find consistent work. An income and expense declaration submitted with the filing shows she currently earns $0 per month. She is living with a friend while working to stabilize her finances.
The life they once shared
The contrast with her current circumstances is difficult to miss. Kim says that during their marriage, she and Fab lived in condos, drove luxury vehicles including a Porsche and a BMW, and took international trips on a regular basis. She describes the couple as having made long-term plans to eventually move to Europe together.
Fab did relocate to Europe in 2009, with the expectation that Kim would join him. She says a health setback prevented that from happening, effectively separating them geographically before the formal split became official.
What the court documents show about Fab’s income
While Kim describes herself as having virtually no assets beyond a 2015 Nissan Sentra with 126,000 miles and a small collection of Milli Vanilli memorabilia, she argues in the filing that Fab is in considerably better financial shape. She points to the fact that he is currently on tour and receives royalties from a published book. She also cites his booking fees as a live performer, which she claims range from $20,000 to $30,000 for in-person events and from $10,000 to $20,000 for virtual appearances.

Fab Morvan rose to global fame as one half of Milli Vanilli, the pop duo that dominated charts in the late 1980s and early 1990s before becoming the center of one of the most infamous scandals in music history. The group won the Grammy Award for Best New Artist in 1990, only to have it taken back after it was revealed that the vocals on their recordings were performed by other singers entirely. The other member of the duo, Rob Pilatus, died in 1998. Fab has continued performing as a solo act and remained active in the entertainment industry in the years since.
The divorce has brought renewed attention to the more private chapters of Fab’s life, including the long-undisclosed marriage to Kim, who is now asking the courts to recognize that her decades of work managing his career left her without a financial foundation of her own once the relationship ended.
