According to a recent article by The Daily Mail, Meghan McCain praised US Vice President JD Vance for his calm composure during an interview with The View which was attended by her ‘undisciplined’ co-stars as well.
From 2017 till 2021, the late Senator John McCain’s daughter appeared on the show as the token Republican on an otherwise leftist panel.
The Epstein Files, inflation, Vance’s relationship with Donald Trump, and claims that the government is “racist” were just a few of the contentious questions that Vance had to deal with when he appeared on the show this Tuesday.
After leaving the show, Meghan McCain said in her memoir that it was a “toxic work environment” due to her acrimonious political disputes with her co-hosts.
Mccain called out on her co-stars and took to social media to express her anger. She wrote that even after years, the co-stars were unable to finish the program without shouting with each other.
In response, McCain, 40, became enraged on X, saying, “My biggest takeaway from Vance on The View is honestly how s***ty and undisciplined the hosts STILL ARE. Even after all these years, they are still unable to finish a program without shouting at one another, mispronounce basic facts, and miss simple queries. Vance did a great job managing everything.”
What happened on the episode
Despite the bitter rivalry between Trump and Arizona Republican John McCain, McCain’s daughter became The View’s only spokesperson for American conservatism during the first Trump administration.
She consequently became the panel’s lightning rod, engaging in heated political arguments with her co-hosts that occasionally went personal.
When McCain joked to Behar after returning from maternity leave, “You missed me so much, Joy,” Behar angrily retorted, “I did not miss you. Zero.”
After Behar’s jab, Meghan McCain sobbed during the commercial break, and after the show ended, she both sobbed and puked, according to her memoir.
While in town to promote his book, Communion: Finding My Way against to Faith, Vance, 41, battled against a torrent of challenging questions on Tuesday’s episode of The View.
Ana Navarro, an anti-Trump panelist, quickly refuted Vance’s assertion that the administration has “made good progress” in reducing inflation within minutes of Vance taking his seat.
“Jeffrey Epstein was actually reported to the police by Donald Trump.” “That’s among the things that emerged from the files,” McCain Vance clarified.
Joy Behar opposed him right away, stating, “They were best friends for a decade.”
Navarro asserted that a “real estate deal” was the only reason Trump and Epstein’s friendship ended.
The conservative was also questioned by Hostin over the delay in the release of the final 2.5 million pages of DOJ documents pertaining to the federal probe into the financier.
In response, Vance noted that the remaining records were either duplicates or subject to limitations imposed by the court. At one point, after requesting and failing to receive specifics, he informed Hostin, “I would need to actually know exactly what you’re talking about.”
Whoopi Goldberg, the moderator, promptly announced a break.
As soon as the program resumed, Behar grabbed hold of Vance and started answering a question from Sara Haines.
