TOTTENHAM scored two goals in the last six minutes but were denied three points thanks to Matthijs de Ligt’s last-gasp header.
Mathys Tel and Richarlison thought they had won it for Spurs before De Ligt turned in from a 95th minute corner.
It would have been a smash and grab for Tottenham after Richarlison flicked in Wilson Odobert’s shot in added time.
Bryan Mbeumo opened the scoring with a 32nd-minute header which looked like it would be enough to seal all three points.
A dull opening period saw few chances for either side other than Mbeumo’s header.
Tottenham put up more of an effort after the break but struggled to break down United, with Brennan Johnson seeing a goal chalked off by the linesman’s flag.
But Tel’s introduction ten minutes from time changed the game – even though boos greeted the decision to take off Xavi Simons.
The striker turned in the box and fired past goalkeeper Senne Lammens with the help of a deflection.
Then in added time a corner fell to Odobert outside the box, and his curling shot was flicked in by Richarlison for the winner.
