MANCHESTER UNITED have reportedly drawn up a SEVEN-MAN shortlist to fix their midfield woes.
The Red Devils are in need of a revamp in the middle of the pitch, with Ruben Amorim‘s current stars struggling.
Casemiro, 33, is in the last year of his contract at Old Trafford and ahead of Manuel Ugarte and Kobbie Mainoo in the pecking order.
Mainoo has even been tipped with an exit from United in a potential move to Napoli to reunite with Scott McTominay.
ESPN have claimed that United have made a shortlist of SEVEN stars who could help fix the club’s midfield woes.
Carlos Baleba is believed to be at the top of the list following the club’s summer interest in him.

The Brighton and Hove Albion star is rated at £115million and is viewed as one of the best in the Premier League.
The Cameroonian was able to replace the void left by Moises Caicedo following his own £115m move to Chelsea.
If United were to make a move for Baleba it would see them break their current transfer record of £89m for Paul Pogba in 2016.
It is reported that the Red Devils are also monitoring England internationals Elliot Anderson and Adam Wharton.

The two midfielders have both been called up by Thomas Tuchel with Nottingham Forest‘s Anderson becoming a regular in the starting XI.
Conor Gallagher is another Three Lions hopeful who is on the shortlist at Old Trafford.
The former Chelsea star made an impressive start to his career at Atletico Madrid following his 2024 transfer.
However, he has recently fallen down the pecking order under Diego Simeone.
Reports elsewhere have suggested Gallagher could be available for £30m in the January transfer window.
Wolves pair Andre and Joao Gomes are also said to be on the watchlist by United chiefs.
Despite playing for the Premier League basement club the two have seemingly done enough to gain attention from United.
The final name on the shortlist is VfB Stuttgart star Angelo Stiller, 24, who is rated at £44m.
The five-time German international is also a target for Bundesliga giants Bayern Munich.
Stuttgart sporting director Fabian Wohlgemuth has spoken about the player’s future with Sky 90.
He said: “He has a contract with us. It’s far too early to speculate about that.
“Of course, one or two clubs will have had their eye on him. He’s having an outstanding season.
“Maybe he’ll even play in a World Cup, we’ll see. We’re happy he’s with us
“That’s part of the entertainment we have to cover. But there’s nothing concrete. He can concentrate fully on VfB Stuttgart.”
