Kayserispor are said to already be at the table with an offer to the Red Devils, while New England Revolution were also reportedly keen.

The Daily Mail reports that the Turkish side are locked in talks with the 21-year-old over a free transfer which would include a sell-on clause.

They were keen to get a deal over the line in the summer but an agreement could not be reached but they’ve revived their interest once more.

It is also reported Mather was also previously in talks about joining the UAE League but those discussions never reached a positive solution.

The youngster has been a part of Ruben Amorim’s top team training – but has only played a handful of games for the Under-21s.

It is believed that United are keen to find him a move that will help him in the next chapter of his career.

Mather, who is capped by England at youth level, has experienced two previous loans away from Old Trafford.

He had a spell Rochdale, making 10 appearances and scoring twice in the National League.
