Fans of School Spirits have waited a week for the release of the season finale. After the major supernatural transformation for Maddie and a heartbreaking exit for Wally, Paramount+ released the season finale on March 4 (yesterday). The episode was released at 12:00 a.m. PT and 3:00 a.m. ET in Canada and the US. Episode 7 showed us that Maddie returned to Split River High, and the other spirits tell her that Wally is no longer there. After watching episode 7, one IMDb user said,
“I believe this is one of the best episode of this show, but you have to watch the previous ones to appreciate it as it should be. Congratulations to the actors, as well, for bringing this episode – and the other episodes, too – to life.”
The season finale, titled, Dawn of the Deb, opened with a scene showing the ghosts of Split River High huddling in the library. The group is also reeling from the shocking exit of Wally. A preview showed that the group faced a trouble which is left behind, and Wally left in secret to search for Simon. But Simon had vanished without a trace.

School Spirits season 3 finale: Maddie is caught between reality and the spirit world
School Spirits’ season 3 finale showed that Maddie walked out of her home both in spirit and in real life. She has been caught between the two worlds. Viewers have seen Maddie wandering on the streets in a sleepwalking state, while her spirit moved around. Her spirit crosses into a stranger version of Split River when, in reality, Livia is taking her to the hospital.
In this episode, Maddie is shown drifting away from her friends and family physically, while her spirit is exploring this mysterious place. In this moment, she meets Dawn and eventually finds Wally. Wally also seems lost and confused.
School Spirits season 3 finale: Maddie’s dad saves her
In this episode, viewers witnessed that Maddie was saved by her dad. His dad somehow knew how to reach her daughter in the crossover land as well as guide her to a door that leads back to the real world.
A scene showed us that when Maddie and Simon stepped through, her dad closed the door behind them and split the group. The scene cuts to another moment showing Maddie waking up safely with her mom and Xavier. However, Simon’s fate is left uncertain.

Things took a darker turn at school. Dr. Deborah interrupts a meeting and behaves strangely. It is revealed that she has been taken over by Van Heidt. Through him, she can see the ghost, and he escalates the risk by setting afire that traps people inside the library.
Charley detects the smell of the gas and confirms that it is a threat. In response, Ralph employs his unusual skills to send Quinn and Rhonda into the meeting room. Somehow, they appear before the crowd and warn about the fire. Panic spreads, but the intervention ensures that lives are saved. Claire and Nicole recognize them as spirits, and Xavier is quickly informed of the situation.
