Luna is back from the dead and targeting Dylan

The Bold and the Beautiful’s Dylan is doing her absolute best to get her life in order, and just when it seemed like things were turning a corner, one phone call changed everything. Dylan picked up the phone on Wednesday’s all-new episode, and the chilling voice on the other line warned her that they had unfinished business. What if the disguised voice is actually a ghost from Dylan’s past that she (and the rest of LA) believed to be dead and gone forever?

The Bold and the Beautiful’s biggest underdog

When The Bold and the Beautiful’s Dylan (Sydney Bullock) first reemerged onto the canvas, her life was in complete disarray. She had lost her job, she was living in her car, and she was struggling with the reality that she had struck and killed Luna (Lisa Yamada) with her car. Although Luna previously held Dylan hostage, she seems like a genuine girl who doesn’t have a bad bone in her body. However, if those plights weren’t enough, Ivy (and Electra) become massive hurdles on the road to repairing her life. Thankfully, Steffy (Jacqueline MacInnes Wood) hired Dylan at Forrester Creations, giving her a way to get back on her feet.

Now that Dylan has moved out of Will’s (Crew Morrow) guest house, he has since reunited with Electra (Laneya Grace). RJ (Brayan Nicoletti) did her best to convince Dylan to walk away from her new job and take Will with her, but she stood her ground, and they ended their conversation on semi-decent terms. Unfortunately for Dylan, her rocky start at FC only got worse when she received a paralyzing phone call from an unknown entity.

Whoever was on the other end of the phone claims to have “unfinished business” with Dylan. Viewers only know bits and pieces of Dylan’s backstory, so if it’s something from her past before the audience first met her, there’s no way to discern who the call is coming from. However, it’s easy to figure out who isn’t on the other end of the line. Ivy (Ashleigh Brewer) is defending herself to everyone in the CEO’s office, so it’s definitely not her. RJ didn’t have the time after leaving her office. Although both of them have the biggest motive to strike fear into Dylan, there’s one additional name from her past that could change everyone’s lives forever.

Not so dead after all

Right now, the names being floated as The Bold and the Beautiful’s mystery caller are being ruled out for the most part. However, one person that Dylan wronged in a big way needs to be considered. What if Dylan didn’t actually kill Luna when her car collided with the escaped prisoner? In the world of soaps, never say never is a phrase to live by, and since viewers never witnessed Luna’s actual body, who is to say she’s truly dead? Dylan went on a tour across Los Angeles, telling anyone who would listen that she was responsible for Luna’s death, which landed her in Will’s good graces, and it’s half of the reason why Steffy handed her a job at Forrester Creations.

Nobody was more obsessed with Will than Luna, and if somehow she’s been lurking in the shadows and waiting for the right moment to reemerge, nobody else makes more sense as the mystery caller. Luna was carrying Will’s child before miscarrying in prison, and she was showing glimpses of remorse for her actions prior to her untimely demise. If she’s somehow back, making things right with Will has to be at the top of her list, and she might perceive Dylan as a threat to her happiness.

The Bold and the Beautiful is no stranger to bringing a character back to life. Luna’s grandmothers, Sheila (Kimberlin Brown) and Li (Naomi Matsuda), are two prime examples of characters thought to be dead who return to get revenge on the person who wronged them. Luna is a lot like both women, and if Li saved her in the past, how can anyone be certain that she didn’t find a way to replicate her actions this time? If Luna is the caller, Dylan is in more danger than she could possibly imagine, and any reprieve from drama that she believed had finally arrived is about to come to a screeching halt.
