Lulu is in for a MASSIVE fall

Hearing General Hospital’s Lulu tell Laura that Nathan is just about the best thing that’s ever happened to her only made us cringe. We’ve known since last fall that there was no way this man who looked like Nathan West was actually Nathan West, but now that we know the truth, the entire ‘Lathan’ romance just gives us more ick.

A General Hospital couple that should not be

Even if this were Nathan (Ryan Paevey), we would still have a problem with this pair, which we have stated before. Lulu (Alexa Havins) should not be dating her best friend’s ex and Nathan should not be dating his best friend’s ex. As The Bold and the Beautiful’s Ivy (Ashleigh Brewer) would say, “It’s not proper. Not proper at all.” And it’s even less proper because this man is not Nathan, so Lulu has fallen for the wrong guy.

Lulu is most certainly happy for herself. Her life would be perfect if Rocco (Finn Carr) weren’t in total agony over shooting Cullum (Andrew Hawkes), but at least she has Nathan, right? Wrong, oh so very wrong, Lulu. Maybe it’s just not a good idea to date a man who can’t account for the last seven years of her life. Lulu may have lost four years of her life, but she still knows where she was. She was in a coma and accounted for. Nathan? Not so much.

Britt has a point

At least Britt (Kelly Thiebaud) can see the writing on the wall. No matter how much Lulu hates her, Britt certainly doesn’t want to see Lulu get hurt. She knows that it is inevitable now, but the less hurt, the better. That’s why she advised Cassius to break things off with Lulu now before she finds out the truth.

Of course, Cassius doesn’t want to do it because he has fallen in love with Lulu, and seemingly fallen in love with being Nathan West. That is going to cause a problem in the long run. As Britt said, the truth always has a way of coming out (especially on a soap opera). We don’t see Cassius backing away, which means Laura (Genie Francis) better break out the tissues because one day, Lulu is going to need her mother more than ever.
