After taunting Sidwell and blaming him for Marco’s death, Lucas stood there just waiting to be shot, so Sidwell obliged and did just that. He shot Lucas multiple times in the chest and stood there. That’s when Dante and the cops appeared to arrest Sidwell because, of course, this was all a setup.

Sidwell knew he had been framed and allowed himself to be cuffed as Laura appeared and ran to Lucas, who was wearing a very obvious bulletproof vest. Sidwell watched as Lucas woke and unzipped his jacket to reveal the vest. Sonny then appeared, prompting Sidwell to say, “Hello, you bastard.”

Sidwell insisted this was entrapment, but Dante disagreed. Nobody made Sidwell pull the trigger. Sidwell then tried to use the Dalton angle to get Dante to arrest Laura and Sonny, but had to admit that Lucas had stolen his evidence. Suddenly, Cassius appeared in Nathan form, which just gave Sidwell a small, smug look on his face.

Before the cops could take Sidwell away, he told Lucas that Sonny had manipulated him into playing decoy. Finally, Cassius left to take Sidwell to lockup as Dante congratulated Lucas on a job well done. Joe brought Lucas to the hospital to be checked out.

And as expected, Cassius parked the car before they got to the station and let Sidwell out. Cassius uncuffed Sidwell and told him to escape, but Sidwell insisted that Cassius give him his gun first. The next thing we knew, Dante received a phone call from “Nathan” telling him that Sidwell’s guys jumped him and the criminal mastermind was gone.

Willow gets an offer

As Willow tried to give Jack another dose of the paralytic drug, Jack stopped her. A stunned Willow rushed to get the drug into the IV as soon as possible, but Jack spoke, stunning Willow even more as he implied that Nina had not been dosing Jack at all.

Just then, Nina walked in with a cheeseburger, and Willow knew exactly what was up. Her mother had been lying to her. Jack watched as mother and daughter argued, with Willow absolutely furious that Nina had gone behind her back. She didn’t even tell Sidwell and Cullum that Nina was involved with Jack’s “accident.” Willow reasoned that she had protected Nina, so she should have returned the favor.

Finally, Jack spoke up and declared that Nina had done the right thing. Together, they could stop Sidwell and Cullum. Willow didn’t pay the man in the bed any attention and continued on shouting at her mother. Jack spoke up again and reminded Willow that he knew she shot Drew, got away with it, and then paralyzed him.

As Willow threatened him with a syringe, Jack told her that he had leverage against Drew. He had proof that Drew used federal funds to finance his campaign. Willow had to decide whether to take Jack.

In her kitchen, Carly and Valentin went over what they knew about Josslyn, using expository dialogue, in case we all forgot. Carly was worried that Josslyn went to Wyndemere to shut down Faison’s final project. Valentin was sure that if she had, she had gotten herself caught.

Carly immediately began to panic and tried to run out of the house, but Valentin stopped her. He assured her that Josslyn had to be of use to them because she was still alive. They had to do things right to keep it that way. Carly was convinced that time was running out.

Valentin refused to let Carly go to Wyndemere, so he said he would go. Carly wouldn’t hear of it. She could knock on the door and walk right in, but Valentin would have to sneak around.

Baby shower blues

Curtis was taken aback when Portia told him she was glad she kept Trina’s paternity a secret because at least Trina didn’t have to be raised by him. Stella tried to get them to tone things down a notch, but Portia had had it. She was sick of Curtis constantly threatening violence, especially at a baby shower.

Portia and Curtis went back and forth, as Curtis accused Portia of lying like she breathes, before Isaiah told Curtis to back off. Right on cue, Curtis threatened to crack Isaiah in the face. Jordan got in the middle and told Curtis that they needed to leave. Surprisingly, Curtis agreed, but not before yelling at Portia some more.

Trina had had enough and just left. Stella watched Trina go as Portia and Curtis argued some more. Finally, she put a stop to things, telling Portia and Curtis that they were to blame for Trina’s departure and would also end up alienating their new child, one day down the line.

Curtis still didn’t see himself as having done anything wrong. He once again claimed he was the innocent party who tried to meet Portia halfway, but his problem was with the man who “decided to drive off and leave me and Portia to die.”

Portia had to once again point out to her one-track record ex-husband that he had absolutely no proof that Isaiah was the other driver. Portia also reminded everyone that Curtis had been emotionally cheating with Jordan before she ever even looked in Isaiah’s direction. Jordan took offense, not seeing what she had done wrong.

Jordan then accused Isaiah of being the other driver, describing the terrible ordeal Curtis had to endure because he was dumb enough to kiss Jordan while she was driving and she was dumb enough to kiss him back. All Isaiah could do was defend himself, but it went in one ear and out the other with Curtis and Jordan.

Portia stoically told Curtis she would have the OB and pediatrician call him about any appointments, but she did not want to have any contact with Curtis at all. After all the guests finally left, Stella took both Curtis and Jordan to task for the scene that he and Jordan caused.

Lulu welcomed Tracy, who had just come from the baby shower where she was bored. However, babies got Tracy thinking about the stepdaughter who was missing her teenage son. Tracy wanted to help and hire an expensive private investigator to find Rocco.

Lulu had to be cryptic when she told Tracy that the bad guys were also looking for Britt and Rocco, so she wanted to keep private investigators out of this. Lulu also worried that Rocco left with Britt cause he preferred her and wanted to punish Lulu, but Tracy assured Lulu that she was a good mother. Lulu returned the same sentiment to Tracy.
