Laura Loomer says a recent visit to Ukraine has significantly changed her views on human suffering and national security.
In a post shared on X/Twitter, the right-wing activist described the trip as “deeply touching,” saying the experience challenged beliefs she previously held.
“Visiting Ukraine has been deeply touching for me. It has opened my eyes to things I was blinded to before and has really impacted the way I view human suffering and how I perceive humanity and threats to U.S. national security.”
Laura Loomer added that the visit had been “life changing” and said she expects it to influence her future reporting.
“I’m never going to forget this and I’m interested in seeing what else it inspires me to do and report on in the future.”
Moreover, she also encouraged other people to travel to the country to get another perspective on the continuing struggle.
“You’ll have to travel to Ukraine yourself and see it yourself to understand what I am talking about.”
She ended her post with a mention of Lindsey Graham, who was known for his love of Ukraine.
“Never thought I’d say this. But, I see why Lindsey Graham loved Ukraine so much. I see it now.”

Laura Loomer’s statement comes several weeks after the death of Lindsey Graham, a former Republican US senator from South Carolina who spoke frequently on national defense and foreign policy. He was 71.
The late senator died on July 11, 2026, due to aortic dissection, or a tear in the heart’s main artery after falling ill unexpectedly.
As a staunch hawk for foreign policy throughout his life, the late politician was well-known as an active interventionist, who believed in the importance of international coalitions.
Later in life, he transitioned from a Washington maverick to a loyal ally and confidant of President Donald Trump.
Meanwhile, Lindsey Graham and Laura Loomer didn’t have the best relationship as they clashed several times in the past, despite both being allies of the POTUS.
In fact, an hour after Graham’s office announced his death, the MAGA activist made a speculative post on X that the late senator was “poisoned.”
“Was he poisoned by a foreign adversary either abroad or upon returning to the US?”
Responding to her hypothesis was former congressman George Santos, who said he believed there was “foul play.”
In September 2024, Graham shared in a HuffPost interview that he was urging Trump to stay away from Loomer and called her “toxic.”
“We have policy disagreements, but the history of this person is just really toxic. I mean, she actually called for Kellyanne Conway’s daughter to hang herself. I don’t know how this all happened, but, no, I don’t think it’s helpful. I don’t think it’s helpful at all.”
As a response, Loomer took to her social media and publicly targeted Graham by urging him to “come out.”
“Lindsey Graham has never been loyal to President Trump. When is Lindsey coming out of the closet? We all know you’re gay, Lindsey… and that’s ok.”
