On the Thursday, April 16, 2026, episode of Days of our Lives, Kristen told Sophia her plan, Johnny worried about Chanel, Leo poured his heart out to Javi, and more.
What happened on Days of our Lives
As Kristen waited for Sophia to meet her on a park bench, she flashed back to her last time seeing Rachel in the hospital. This brought her to tears, but Kristen quickly wiped them away when Sophia appeared. She was ready to hear Kristen’s plan, but was stunned to learn that Kristen wanted her to kill Johnny. Murder was not exactly what Sophia had in mind.
Sophia worried she would be caught, but then noted that Kristen had gotten away with attempted murder. After all, she was a free woman now. Kristen said that she had gone to prison voluntarily. Armed with this surprising knowledge, Sophia finally realized that Kristen had been covering for Rachel and that as why Rachel ended up in Bayview.
As expeted, this caused Kristen to completely wig out. She lost her temper and made Sophia promise never to breathe a word of Rachel’s crime to anyone. Sophia knew what was good for her, so she promised. She was even on board to help Kristen with her murder plot. However, Sophia still needed to get revenge on Holly for perceived wrongs. She needed a little cash for this plan, so Kristen agreed to pay her. Kristen was clearly impressed with how tenacious Sophia has proven to be.
Johnny’s fears are hurting Chanel
When Johnny stopped their lovemaking to tell Chanel that he felt a lump by her breast, Chanel felt to see if he was right. She felt something, but brushed it off to being normal breast changes during pregnancy. She promised to mention it to the doctor at her next visit.
An anxious Johnny wanted her to call the doctor right away, which only served to annoy Chanel. She accused him of having “partner hypochondria” and wished he could be happier about this pregnancy rather than being paranoid all the time. She did her best to get Johnny to calm down, but after Chanel felt something in her side, he was alarmed again.
Chanel told Johnny the baby was moving, but he couldn’t feel anything. Chanel was sure it was just too soon to feel the baby from the outside. Johnny tried to be happy, but it wasn’t working. Chanel finally promised to call the doctor, which made Johnny a little happier, but he may give Chanel more stress than she needs right now.
Javi has a surprise for Leo
As Javi and Leo awkwardly made small talk in Horton Town Square, Dimitri appeared and made a few snide remarks about Leo dumping him because Javi was back in town. Dimitri walked off and left Javi and Leo to talk, with Leo admitting to Javi that he realized he had wanted him all along. Nothing had even happened with Dimitri in Alamainia. In fact, he had dumped Dimitri, which brought out his bad side. Leo finally knew that Dimitri just wasn’t a very good person.
However, Javi thought something had happened, which prompted him to do something that Leo did not do. He thought he was free to move on, so he started seeing someone he had known for a while and realized he wanted to be in a happy and healthyb relationship with this person.
Leo was a little taken aback when Javi thanked him for helping him see what he really wanted in life. Javi didn’t seem to see how much he had hurt Leo. But Dimitri saw Javi and Leo together and assumed they had reunited. Javi finally walked away and told a forlorn Leo that he’d see him around.
The saga of Sarah and Xander
Kate visited Xander in his office where we learned that the pair had been conspiring all along to set up Johnny to publish Bonnie’s book, but things weren’t going quite as they had planned. They were sure that DiMera would just settle, but now Johnny wants to drag everyone into court. Kate thought they should drop the lawsuit, but Xander wanted to stay the course. He was sure they would be victorious in the end.
But Kate was worried about her marriage. She had to lie to Roman and tell him that she had not set his grandson up, but she was afraid one day Roman would realize she was lying and had told one lie too many. Xander was more concerned with why Theo left DiMera, so he asked Kate to cozy up to her old pal Abe and see what she could learn.
Kate didn’t want to ruin another relationship just for Xander, but said she’d see what she could do. She then brought up Xander’s personal life. He claimed he wasn’t really jealous of Brady since things weren’t serious between Brady and Sarah. He also promised that he was no longer a violent man who lost his temper.
Sarah and Brady concluded their day together with TV and dinner. They binge watched an entire series and then had dinner outside The Bistro in the square. They laughed and joked about karaoke, pets, and Sarah’s funny patient story before deciding to go back to Brady’s place for more time in bed.
As Xander walked through the square, he saw Sarah and Brady in a close moment and realized that they may be a little closer than he originally thought.
