Marshals Episode 9, titled In Low Places, was released on April 26.
The episode follows a rescue mission to save Andrea after she is kidnapped by Randall Clegg in the previous episode. Thanks to Garrett’s help, they are able to find a tunnel that helps them save Andrea and capture Randall Clegg.
However, even after Randall loses this time to the team, he lets Kayce know that his legacy is growing. On the other hand, Cal is dealing with a health situation but avoids telling the team or even talking about it with anyone, including Belle. The episode also includes a scene showing Kayce and Andrea supporting each other while talking and stargazing.

Marshals Episode 9 recap: Randall Clegg warns Kayce of his legacy
After Garrett’s entry in the previous episode of Marshals, viewers could clearly see a tension rising between him and Cal. In Marshals episode 9, this only grows as Kayce decides to take the help of Garrett in the new rescue mission to save Andrea after she gets kidnapped by Randall Clegg. And Garrett has also proved to be of great help to a certain extent after he finds out a secret tunnel that could help them reach the Cleggs.
On the other hand, while Andrea is held by Randall Clegg, she doesn’t lose hope and fights back against her kidnappers. While she gets caught after she fights a guard, her leaving a phone call to her team proves to be of great help for tracking. The team also puts their all into efforts, with Belle tracking more information about Andrea and Randall’s daughter.
However, Kayce decides to later send Garrett back, which Garrett was pretty okay with.
The team, through all their effort, is successfully able to save Andrea and take Randall into custody. However, it doesn’t look like the fight between Kayce and Randall ends here as he tells Kayce:
“You may have wiped out my kin, but my family tree blossomed today. And I’m like the Duttons. My legacy is growing.”
Marshals Episode 9 recap: Kayce and Andrea open up while stargazing
While Clegg wanted revenge by kidnapping Andrea, Kayce felt partly to blame for it, as his family has a long-standing rivalry with the Cleggs. At one point, while he was sitting with everyone, he decided to get up and was joined by Andrea.
He asks if she was the one who almost escaped and opened the door during the rescue. Kayce had a feeling she did, even though he didn’t actually see her. Along with stargazing, the two also talked about Montana as she showed appreciation for Kayce, saying she’s glad to be on his team. Meanwhile, the team sat together as Garrett played My Way on his guitar by the fire.
Cal acknowledges Garrett’s help
While Cal wasn’t happy with the arrival of Garrett and joining the rescue mission, by the end of it, he understood that it only helped the team. He opened up to Garrett and acknowledged his support, thanking him for the same. He even mentioned Roner while talking to him:
“Roner still haunts me too. And as messed up as it was, it’s sometimes easier to accept than what went down between us.”
However, Cal still has no plans to talk about his health issues with anyone. In the previous episode, Cal visited a doctor and learned about his health issues. The doctor suggests seeing a specialist, but the episode doesn’t reveal exactly what he is dealing with. In Episode 9, Belle asks Cal about his health and even points at his neck, but he doesn’t tell her anything.
