Marshals Episode 8, titled Blowback, was released on April 19. Starring Luke Grimes, Logan Marshall-Green, Arielle Kebbel, and Ash Santos in the main cast, the episode also brought back one of the Clegg brothers, revealing that he kidnapped Andrea. She even gets threatened by Randall.
The episode focused on a new search where the team chased a bank robber only to learn that the robber was already in custody. Viewers also see Garrett, who is struggling with his own trauma and a failed military life. While Kayce seemed happy to see Garrett, Cal, on the other hand, was not very sure of his return. Meanwhile, Cal comes to know about his medical condition and also about Miles’s and Maddie’s relationship.
The synopsis of the episode read:
“The Marshals go manhunting after receiving a tip that a dangerous fugitive is on the loose; Kayce and Cal struggle to reckon with their time at war when a former SEAL brother drifts back into their lives as they hunt a vicious enemy.”

Marshals Episode 8 recap: The return of Randall Clegg
Marshals Episode 8 has brought one of the Clegg brothers back into the picture. In the earlier episodes, viewers came across the Clegg Brothers during the protest scene and when Kayce shot one of them. In the recent episode, Randall Clegg makes a return in a shocking way.
The team starts their search for Reed Pollard, a wanted banker, who was reported to be nearby. On the other hand, Andrea, who is doing her own investigation, is kidnapped after meeting with an accident. Her kidnapper is revealed to be none other than Randall Clegg, who is all out to take revenge. The team also finds out Pollard had already been caught a few days earlier and is in custody.
Marshals Episode 8 recap: Garrett reconnects with Kayce and Cal
Along with the return of Randall Clegg in Marshals episode 8, viewers also come across Garrett, a former SEAL brother of Kayce and Cal. He currently works as a musician.
While Kayce is happy to see him, Cal’s reaction is very different as he maintains his distance. At the same time, Garrett also seems to have some sort of grudge as he tells Kayce:
“Isn’t that rich. Cal gave you a new career and ended mine.”
The episode shows more about Garrett’s past, who has been to psych wards and jail and at times had no place to stay, which made his life only tougher.
It turns out he has been going through a lot for years, and even though he now sings and performs, it only helps for a short time when dealing with the memories of the time when he was in Afghanistan with Kayce and the death of Doner. Kayce, being a good friend, tries to calm him down. From the situation, it looks like Garrett still holds a grudge against Cal for getting him removed from the SEALs.
Cal learns about his daughter’s relationship and a health update follows
In the last episode, Miles asked Maddie out for a date, and the revelation of Maddie being Cal’s daughter left him in a little shock, as Cal is his boss. The secret of their being in a relationship doesn’t last long, as in episode 8, Cal sees them together kissing at the bar, which leaves him uncomfortable.
While he doesn’t say much to Maddie or Miles, he does talk to Belle about it. Belle, being a good friend, talks to Miles about it and how it might take some time for things to get back to normal.
The episode also focused on Cal’s visit to the doctor. However, what actually has happened to him is not revealed as of now. Reassuring him, the doctor says:
“I know it’s a lot to take in. I’ll loop in a couple of specialists who have experience in these kinds of cases. It’s important to know that you’re not alone.”
Viewers will come to know more details about his health and what happens to Andrea in the upcoming epsiodes.
