Journalist Kjersti Flaa, who had a “nightmare” interview with Blake Lively in 2016 claims that the actress appeared at the Met Gala red carpet to try to down the negative news. Blake Lively settled her two year old legal battle with former co-star Justin Baldoni, and appeared at the Gala just a day later. Flaa while speaking to the Daily Mail commented on the proximity of both the dates and said,
“I think she wanted to clog the internet with stories about her at the Met Gala and what she was wearing, it was an attempt to try to drown all the negative news.”
Flaa explained that with the Met Gala appearance the Gossip Girl star and husband Ryan Reynolds attempted to “manipulate” the internet,
“The audacity and guts that she had to stand there in front of all these people and say, ‘Hey look at me in this dress. I was shocked that she did that. I think it says a lot about her.”
Flaa claimed that Lively attended the event last Monday since she “cannot fathom” that people “don’t like her.”
What happened between Journalist Kjersti Flaa and Blake Lively

“Congrats on your little bump”

As per People, last month, Blake Lively’s team tried to stop the viral interview from being used as evidence in the now-canceled trial. Flaa was called as a witness for the trial, and Lively’s lawyers had reportedly asked the judge to not let Flaa testify.
Flaa while speaking to Daily Mail recently also revealed that she’s disappointed she didn’t get to testify since she was looking forward to tell her “side of the story.” On Monday 4, attorneys for both the actors issues a statement mentioning that the actors have reached a settlement. A source told Page Six, that the actors had een negotiating for a few weeks, and were encouraged to settle.
Flaa speculated that Blake Lively decided to settle since “she knew she had a weak case” and that she was advised by everyone to settle. Flaa also claimed that it would have been “humiliating” for the actress to lose the case and that didn’t want to look “like a liar” in front of a jury.
