Josh Hokit has called out Daniel Cormier a “fat cow pig” after he slammed the UFC Fighter’s Michelle Obama White House UFC 250 joke.
During an episode of his podcast called The Daniel Cormier Show, the UFC Commentator described Hokit’s comment as “lame as f***” and an “unnecessary shot” at Michelle. He further added that it was a “horrible” and divisive statement, noting how it could harm national unity.
Taking to X, Josh Hokit replied to it and wrote:
“I’ve been nothing but nice to this fat cow pig… I’m not here for unity, in reality there will never be unity… I come to divide people’s faces… if you don’t like it then come do something about it…”
During an interview with Joe Rogan following his TKO victory over Derrick Lewis at the UFC Freedom 20 event in June, Hokit referred Michelle as a “man,” sparking stunned silence and some laughter.

What did Josh Hokit say to Michelle Obama?
After a post-match interview with Joe Rogan at the UFC Freedom 250 event on the White House South Lawn in June 2026, Josh Hokit made a derogatory statement against Michelle Obama.
He targeted the former first lady, Michelle Obama, by calling her a “man” and said:
“Michelle Obama is a man. Am I right, America?”
His comment evoked mixed reactions during the event.
In addition to Daniel Cormier’s backlash, Josh Hokit drew flak from UFC President Dana White and comedian Shane Gillis for his disparaging remarks about Michelle. In a statement shared with Time Magazine, White called his comments ” disgusting” while affirming his support for free speech. He said:
“I understand that the Obama’s are public figures but I’m completely against saying nasty and false things about people’s families. Everyone knows my position on free speech but I hate that kind of nonsense.”

When Gillis was asked about his comments on Josh Hokit, he said he did not love the statement, saying:
“I didn’t love that. Why do you think? I don’t like that sh*t.”
Congresswoman Melanie Stansbury called Hokit’s comments “disgusting.” She said:
“Ok, so let me get this straight. The dude who puked on himself live on TV during his weigh in, is hurling insults at the former First Lady now? Disgusting. Welcome to the Trump Administration.”
Prior to making his controversial statements, Josh Hokit was seen gifting a chain to President Donald Trump. He has reportedly earned the name for Trump’s “new favorite fighter.”
During a recent podcast episode, Cormier said that Hokit’s comments made in the Octagon “made no sense” and were unnecessary. He noted that Hokit simply could have left the event post-fight, which could have earned him more fans, but instead he chose to stay back.
Cormier noted that Michelle Obama is a “classy” person who has only represented herself, her family and this country. He added:
“She’s been a person that it should be hard to take shots at, and it was just an unnecessary shot on her, in a setting that didn’t need any of that kind of stuff. Because again, so many people right now in our country are trying to divide. That’s the type of statement that divides, when in reality, we as a country should be trying to come together. So I absolutely hated that … he needs to do better.”
In his response, Hokit called him a “fat cow pig”, which further escalated the verbal feud between the two figures in the UFC community. Many noted his comment as disrespectful towards the UFC legend. A segment of fans praised him for staying true to himself.
