Jaden Smith brings a whole house to Paris Fashion Week

The Louis Vuitton men’s creative director carried one of the label’s rarest trunks — a miniature house — while wearing custom Louboutins inscribed with a cosmic message

When Jaden Smith showed up to the Louis Vuitton Womenswear Fall/Winter 2026-2027 runway presentation at the Louvre on March 10, he did not arrive quietly. Dressed head to toe in black, Smith carried a miniature Louis Vuitton trunk shaped like a doll house and wore a pair of Christian Louboutin shoes with a message written directly on the toe: “Deep in Cosmic Space.”

For someone holding the title of the brand’s first men’s creative director, the look was less a fashion statement and more a full declaration of intent.

The bag that stole the show

The house-shaped trunk is not a new addition to Smith’s wardrobe. He first carried it at Louis Vuitton’s Fall 2023 show, and its return to Paris this season felt deliberate. The bag, designed by artistic director Nicolas Ghesquière as part of the Spring 2023 collection, is modeled after Louis Vuitton’s former family home in Asnières-sur-Seine, the same property Vuitton used as his workshop after founding the house in 1854.

The trunk is obsessively detailed. It features a miniature chimney, faux windows, a working gold clasp that lifts the roof to reveal stacked interior compartments and even a small balcony, all of which Smith highlighted during a walkthrough with Vogue.

Smith completed the look with ultra-baggy trousers, a long button-down shirt, a cropped leather jacket and dark sunglasses. The house-shaped bag sat in his hand like a prop from another dimension.

A Louboutin with something to say

The shoes were just as considered. Smith wore a minimalist lug-sole silhouette from Christian Louboutin, the brand where he now serves as men’s creative director, a role announced in September 2025. The appointment generated $5.4 million in media impact value within 48 hours, according to Launchmetrics.

The words “Deep in Cosmic Space” printed on the toe of his shoes were pulled directly from his own statement about the Louboutin fall 2026 collection, in which he drew inspiration from working men throughout history, stone masons, scribes and doctors, framing the collection as something born from lost epochs and forged under immense pressure. The brand name was also printed across the heel, alongside Louboutin’s signature red sole.

Smith has spoken openly about the weight of the creative director appointment. Accepting the role felt significant given the founder’s legacy, and he has described the opportunity as unexpected, citing a shared creative sensibility with Louboutin as the reason it felt like a natural fit.

A decade in Louis Vuitton

Smith’s relationship with Louis Vuitton stretches back nearly a decade. He attended his first runway presentation for the house in 2017 and has since become one of its most visible faces, appearing at the Met Gala in Vuitton on multiple occasions. In 2018, he paired a monogram shearling patchwork coat with a framed gold record at the event, referencing his single “Icon.”

He has also carried some of the label’s most sought-after accessories. Among them is a trunk shaped like the Arc de Triomphe, which has been valued at approximately $50,000. The house-shaped bag ranks among those collector-level pieces, the kind that exist somewhere between fashion object and sculptural art.

For Smith, that line between the two has never been particularly interesting to draw.
