Jada warns Stephanie could be arrested

In today’s Days of our Lives recap for June 10, 2026, Alex was stunned by what had unfolded between his wife and baby mama, two hot stories landed in Leo’s lap, Tate scored his first client, and Amy took a new tactic against Holly.

At Small Bar, Melinda began her meeting with Amy by apologizing for keeping the truth about Sophia’s baby a secret from her family. Amy understood, as she had many regrets herself about how she’d reacted toward Sophia’s adoption choice. She grew emotional and the women comforted each other about the loss of the girl they had both cared deeply about.

When Amy angrily brought up the district attorney declining to press charges against Holly for cyber-bullying, Melinda reluctantly affirmed that the case had no merit. She opened up about the loss of her daughter, Hailey, and how she had been driven by revenge against the person she held responsible in the aftermath. It had taken Melinda a long time to realize her rage was unhealthy and that she most needed to work through her own guilt. She urged Amy to do the same, for the sake of herself, her family, and Sophia’s memory.

Amy teared up and stressed she was trying to honor her daughter’s memory. While she couldn’t get criminal justice, she could still make Holly stand up in court, take accountability for what she had done, and pledge never to hurt anyone else again. Amy announced her intention to file a civil lawsuit against Holly. She implored Melinda to help her and not give up on Sophia, like the rest of the town had done. Melinda was visibly moved by Amy’s impassioned plea.

Gwen’s a woman worried and scorned

At the Brady Pub, Leo gossiped with Kelsey about “cutie-pie” Trey and Leo’s own “cutie-pie,” Javi. Gwen strolled inside, ready for a drink, so Leo introduced her to his newest little buddy. After a bit of snark between the semi-besties, Leo invited Gwen to join him and give an update about the latest with EJ. Gwen took him up on it and told Leo about her most recent encounter, which had ended with EJ claiming Xander and Kristen were carrying on a torrid affair. Leo’s eyes lit up as he reached for his notebook, but Gwen hissed the information wasn’t for public consumption…especially since it wasn’t even true.

After Gwen detailed finding Xander and Kristen together at the Salem Inn, Leo side-eyed the excuse they had given. He reminded Gwen of how they had both seen Kristen slinking out of the inn, very much in the throes of seemingly post-coital bliss. Gwen began to second-guess herself. While she had no illusions that Xander had real feelings for her, the very idea of her lover and her supposed friend hitting the sheets made Gwen want to feed them both “to the birds.”

Leo was pleased to see Gwen’s fighting spirit restored. He advised her to not let it get her in deeper with EJ and his deadly impulses.

Tate’s open for business

In Horton Town Square, Holly expressed her overwhelming relief that Amy’s vendetta against her wouldn’t lead to jail time, as Belle had informed Holly that charges against her wouldn’t be pursued. With that worry seemingly behind her, Holly looked forward to focusing on her internship with Stephanie and getting back into work. The talk of work prompted Tate to talk about his imminent plans to launch his own personal training business, with self-defense as a top selling point. The couple had been busy posting fliers for the business around town, but Tate was concerned about getting his first client. Holly slyly suggested she become Tate’s first official client.

Later, Tate showed Holly around the space that would serve as his “headquarters.” He had sunk all his money into renting the place, so he hoped the venture would pay off sooner rather than later. He had no intention of asking Holly for payment; Holly reminded there were other forms of payment and kissed him. Tate began demonstrating some of his personal training techniques on Holly, but the work-out session quickly evolved into a make-out session.

After Tate and Holly finished their “workout,” they were interrupted by a visitor: Gwen. The couple sheepishly explained away what they had been doing; Gwen had other things on her mind. Namely, she wanted self-defense training, from Tate. The newly minted personal instructor couldn’t hide his excitement. Holly excused herself to give Tate the opportunity to consult with his first paying client.

As Tate took out his notebook, Gwen made a beeline for the boxing gloves. He asked her about any prior training history, and she dead-panned, “Street fighter.” Gwen took a forceful swing at the punching bag and coolly replied to Tate’s question about her reason for wanting self-defense training: “to keep EJ DiMera from killing me.”

Meanwhile, Holly’s good mood soon crumbled when she ran into Amy. The grieving mother vowed that – despite Holly’s belief to the contrary – things were far from over between them.

Dodging a bullet

At Stephanie’s apartment, Stephanie fired a shot. Joy stood in the doorway, frozen. Both women looked to the side of the door, where the wall was marred by a bullet hole. “Are you insane?” Joy exclaimed, after she got over the shock. Stephanie, wide-eyed and still rattled, tried to apologize. She dropped the gun onto the table as Alex walked inside, confused by the scene.

After Alex asked what had happened, Joy hotly responded, “Your psycho wife almost killed me.” Alex’s gaze moved from his shaken wife to the gun.

Outside, Jada and Shawn returned to her apartment after Shawn had agreed to stay with her a while longer. The cops were alarmed to find a bullet on the floor – and even more alarmed when they saw the bullet hole beside Stephanie and Alex’s door across the hall. They rushed inside and into the midst of the chaos erupting between Alex, Stephanie, and Joy. After they got the bare bones of what had unfolded, Jada took Stephanie into the bedroom for questioning while Shawn stayed behind to get Joy’s statement.

Joy let loose about how Stephanie had almost killed her, despite knowing that Joy had a key to the couple’s apartment. Alex tried to defend his wife and blamed her jet-lag, but Joy wasn’t having it. She reminded him that Kelsey could have been with her. How would Alex have felt if their daughter had been hurt, or even killed?

Alex didn’t want to think about that possibility. Joy declared her intention to get out of there after she made her statement. Alex offered her a ride to the pub, since Joy was too upset to drive. Later, at the pub, Joy raced toward her daughter with relief. When Leo questioned what had happened, Joy launched into another tirade about Stephanie’s actions. Leo, much to his disappointment, was once again thwarted from printing a juicy story, since Alex had issued him a stern warning against making the incident public.

Things remained tense between Alex and Joy until he left. Following Alex’s departure, Joy fussed over Kelsey and vented some more to Leo. She didn’t care if Stephanie was Alex’s wife. She had no intention of ever letting that woman near her daughter again.

Back at the apartment, Jada was stern but gentle as she heard Stephanie’s account. Stephanie was beating herself up for not following Steve’s advice to keep the ammunition away from the gun. Jada agreed that leaving a loaded gun in the drawer had been reckless and dangerous. Stephanie stressed that having the gun loaded and nearby had been the only thing to make her feel safe. While she knew intellectually that Owen was in prison, emotionally was a very different story.

Stephanie lamented how wrong her belief had been that she was getting better and recovering from her ordeal. She didn’t know what was wrong with her or what she could do about it. Jada told Stephanie there would be an investigation, and if the shooting was ruled “accidental…” When Stephanie started to say she hadn’t fired the gun accidently, Jada cut her off and advised her to think about what she disclosed. Stephanie back-tracked and corrected that her memories of the moments were “fuzzy.”

Stephanie asked if she would be arrested, and Jada didn’t deny it was a possibility. Stephanie compelled Jada to remain professional and not give her special treatment because of their friendship. When the duo returned to the main room, Stephanie asked about Alex’s whereabouts. Shawn informed her Alex had left with Joy. Stephanie kept whatever feelings she may have had about that piece of information to herself.

Later, Alex returned as Jada and Shawn wrapped up their questioning. They updated Alex about the investigation. Jada told the newlyweds to contact her if they needed anything, and she gave Stephanie a reassuring hug before departing. Once they were alone, Stephanie began profusely apologizing, but Alex stressed she needed rest. They retired to the bedroom, where Alex held a crying Stephanie in his arms.

Outside the apartment, Jada confided her biggest fear to Shawn: the very real possibility that she’d have to arrest her best friend.
