Nina remained hysterical after realizing she had injected Jack with the syringe and not Valentin. Drew listened from upstairs as Jack fell to the floor and Valentin wondered what the heck was in that syringe. All Nina could say was that it was Drew’s medication as she begged Valentin to help her with Jack.

Valentin didn’t do much except check to see if Jack was faking. When he confirmed that Jack was really down, he grabbed both guns and left. A frantic Nina tried to rouse Jack as they waited for the ambulance. Upstairs, Drew began to move his fingers.

When the paramedics arrived, Nina ran out of the house to follow behind, forgetting all about the patient upstairs.

Carly and Valentin both have warnings

Carly welcomed Charlotte to her kitchen as the teen came bearing books for Donna. Charlotte also hoped she could see her dad, so she was surprised to hear that Valentin wasn’t there. Carly said he went to take care of Jack Brennan, which excited Charlotte because she felt her dad would finally be free.

Carly warned Charlotte they were not out of the woods yet and she needed to be careful. She felt that Jack could still target Charlotte the way he targeted Josslyn. Charlotte wanted to know what Jack did to Jossly, but Carly told her it was a long story. She just needed to trust Carly and be safe.

After Charlotte left, Valentin ran back into the kitchen, looking like a panicked mess. He told Carly that she was right about Nina. She double-crossed him and now he wasn’t sure they could get any information out of Jack. “Jack may not make it through the night,” he said.

Valentin detailed the entire sordid scene in the Dawn of Drew living room, but he still had no idea what the heck was in that syringe Nina used. He only knew it was “Drew’s medication.” Carly was glad that Jack couldn’t hurt them at the moment, but she kind of felt sorry for the guy. Valentin was just nervous about Cullum because Jack wasn’t going to be around to be a check on him.

Willow freaks out

A shirtless Chase was running through the park when he ran into Willow, who apparently decided to go for a run while his mother was minding Drew and injecting WSB agents with paralytic drugs in her living room. Chase and Willow made some small talk about Phoebe, as well as about Willow’s rough day in Congress.

Chase told Willow that he had hoped to run into her. He wanted Willow to put in a good word so that Brook Lynn and Chase could adopt Phoebe. While Chase and Willow discussed how to do this without it looking like calling in favors, Willow reminded Chase about how he comforted her when she learned her baby had died. While the pair bonded over memories, someone snapped a picture of them from afar.

Nina interrupted the moment when she called Willow to cryptically tell her what had happened to Jack. When Nina said that he took something he shouldn’t have and may have had a stroke, Willow knew exactly what had gone down. She looked like she was also about to have a stroke when Nina told her that she forgot to give Drew his dose.

When Elizabeth and Lucas discussed Jack’s condition, she noted how odd it was that two healthy men seemed to have strokes in the same living room three months apart.

As for Willow, she ran home to find that Drew had managed to reach for a phone, but she grabbed it before he could call 911.

The truth about Rocco

Lucas found Elizabeth at the nurses’ hub, looking a bit pensive. She assured him this had nothing at all to do with Ric. When she saw Rocco walk by, Elizabeth appeared distracted, so she left Lucas to approach him. She asked Rocco how his hand was doing. He said he was feeling better, but allowed Liz to examine it.

Rocco was a little confused when Elizabeth said that he could always come to her about anything, but he brushed it off and thanked her. Lucas later asked Elizabeth if she wanted to confide in him, but she declined.

Lulu opened the door to find Dante standing there. He walked right in and told Lulu he knew that Rocco had shot Cullum. She tried to deny it since Dante said he had no proof, so he told her what he knew. Lulu had no choice but to admit that it was true.

Dante was surprised and angered to hear that Nathan was the one who told Lulu not to inform Dante that their teenage son had shot a man. Dante was furious as Lulu explained exactly what happened that night on Pier 55. Lulu was afraid Dante would want to follow the law, but Dante scoffed at the idea of him allowing the WSB to take their son.

Lulu reminded Dante about the time he did things by the book and allowed a teenage Michael to go to prison. Dante insisted that he was not the same cop anymore. Lulu had to protect Rocco from the WSB, but not from him. Dante warned Lulu that he was able to figure out what happened; it was only a matter of time before the WSB did the same.

Dante finally admitted how hurt he was that Lulu had convinced Dante to lie to him. From now on, he and Lulu were going to protect Rocco and Nathan needed to stay out of it.

Outside, Charlotte returned home to find Rocco on the porch. He told her that he was avoiding what was going on in the living room. He knew what his parents were arguing about.

Ric explains himself

At Ava’s gallery, Sonny looked a little unhinged as he held a gun on Ric, who tried to calm his brother down. Ric swore up and down that he had not betrayed Sonny. He’d never risk their newfound close relationship for anything. Ethan explained he saw Ava and Ric have a conversation at the Metro Court, right before she relayed a message to Sidwell.

Ava denied doing any such thing, but Ethan took Ava to the car under Sonny’s order. Sonny demanded that Ric explain the truth, but he certainly didn’t put down that gun that had Ric more than a little bit alarmed. Ric had Sonny open his briefcase so he could show his brother that he had just bought a gift for Elizabeth. He had purchased an original piece of art that was part of an estate sale in a divorce.

When Sonny heard the story, he put down the gun, but had a hard time trying to apologize to his brother. He just made excuses, claiming the Sidwell situation had kept him from thinking clearly. Sonny also reminded Ric that he had taken a chance on him and then he lied.

Ric understood that their history helped Sonny jump to the wrong conclusion. By the end of the hour, the brothers essentially hugged it out while letting Ava stew in the car with Ethan, wondering if she would be killed..
