Billy Bob Thornton is all praise for the people he worked with for Landman, as the actor opens up about his experience working on the show and if he has any complaints. The actor, who plays Tommy Norris on the show talked about his satisfaction with the show’s creator Landman and the show’s tight-knit cast and crew and that his relationship with Sheridan goes beyomd their professional lives.
During an exclusive interview at a Hollywood screening on April 16 for Landman, Thornton stated,
“I trust this show a lot. I trust Taylor and I trust the castmates. I trust our crew. Honestly, I wish I had, like, a creepy story or a complaint, but I don’t. I mean, it’s just, it’s a lovely time. It’s great. I love working with Taylor. I love hanging out with him after hours. He’s such a brilliant guy, great writer, and I love his company.”
During the panel discussion, Thornton didn’t hold back in praising the production’s crew, calling them the best he’s worked with throughout his decades-long career. “I have never worked with a crew as good as the crew that we have on Landman ever, once,” he declared.
Part of what makes the experience so rewarding, Thornton explained, is Sheridan’s creative approach. The writer intentionally keeps plot details under wraps until the last minute, a practice Thornton embraces rather than resists as he adds that some actors like that, some actors don’t, but he personally loves it because in real life you don’t know what’s gonna happen next.
