How long were Darrell Sheets and Romney Snyder together? Inside the late ‘Storage Wars’ star’s relationship

On April 22, Darrell Sheets was reportedly found dead in Lake Havasu City. The Storage Wars’ fame died at the age of 67. As per reports from local authorities, the star apparently lost his life to suicide. Darrell Sheets became popular with Storage Wars. He was even referred to as the ‘Gambler’ for his auction strategies. Sheets left Storage Wars in 2023 and started his antique shop in Arizona.

For those unaware, Darrell Sheets got engaged to Romney Snyder in 2016. Darrell’s fiancée, Romney, took care of him, when he suffered a mild heart attack and other health issues in 2019. Darrell and Romney did not marry. Later, the actor got involved with Patty Rich towards the end of 2019.


Darrell Sheets reportedly committed suicide

The Lake Havasu City Police Department revealed that Darrell was found dead from an apparent suicide at about 2 AM on Wednesday after officers were called to the scene of a reported death. The statement of authorities mentioned that Sheets was found dead on the scene.

“Upon arrival, officers located a male subject who suffered from what appeared to be a self-inflicted gunshot wound to the head,” per the release.

The statement continued as:

“The male was pronounced deceased on scene, and the Lake Havasu City Police Department’s Criminal Investigations Unit was notified and responded to the scene to assume the investigation.”

Darrell’s Storage Wars was presented by A+E Network. Therefore, the A+E spokesman mourned the death of Sheets in a statement, saying:

“We are saddened by the passing of a beloved member of our Storage Wars family, Darrell “The Gambler” Sheets. Our thoughts are with his family and loved ones during this difficult time.”

Earlier, in 2019, Sheets revealed in an Instagram post that he had been hospitalized after suffering a mild heart attack.
