With the news of the separation of Bunnie Xo from Jelly Roll keeping people busy, there is someone from her past who is determined to let everyone know that he has some love left for her.
Frankie Lombardo, ex-husband of Bunnie Xo, announced that he will not mind getting back together if his ex-wife considers giving a chance to revive their relationship. The former couple was together for 6 years after tying the knot in 2009 and divorcing in 2015.
In his exclusive tell-all with Page Six, he described his feelings for the podcast host, whose real name is Alisa DeFord, as something everlasting.
Frankie Lombardo believes there is unresolved history between them, though he admitted that perhaps he was the only one who thought so. He went on to say that his love for Bunnie Xo had not gone away and that he would never do anything to hurt her.
“She was the only woman who ever broke my heart. I feel like there’s a lot of unfinished business between us, but I might be the only one who feels that way. I love her very much. I will never do anything to hurt her. I don’t think that’s ever going to go away.”
In one of the videos he posted on TikTok, Frankie Lombardo reiterated:
“I will always love that girl. I can’t get away if I tried.”
He also revealed to the outlet his “interesting” connection with Bunnie Xo, offering a glimpse of their dynamic even years after their split.
“We have an interesting friendship. Sometimes she still talks to me like she’s my wife and reprimands me. Bunnie is my best friend.”
Jelly Roll and Bunnie Xo break silence after divorce filing
Frankie Lombardo’s comments follow reports that Bunnie Xo and Jelly Roll had ended their marriage after the country star filed for divorce, citing irreconcilable differences.
Days after the news broke, the Wild Ones hitmaker, similar to Lombardo, also referred to Bunnie Xo as his “best friend.” Jelly Roll took a moment in the middle of his Saratoga Springs concert to address the divorce, telling the audience:
“Me and my wife are best friends, we will always be best friends. We just got off the phone earlier today. Nobody cheated on nobody; she just did a whole podcast about it. You can go watch it. Every word of it is the truth. That will be my best friend forever. This is the only time I will ever speak about it.”
At the same time, Bunnie Xo discussed the split, offering details as to how and why their marriage fell apart.
“I was always protecting him and always making sure he was okay, and always chasing him. I literally was the glue that held us together, and that’s not me taking a shot in any way. That’s me being just 100% honest.”
She added:
“In this past year and a half, because I felt like he wasn’t pouring into me and I wasn’t pouring into him and we just weren’t communicating, we just weren’t on the same page, I stopped chasing him. And when I say I stopped chasing him, I mean I stopped everything and just kind of went into myself and was dealing with a lot of depression and dealing with these losses by myself.”
Nonetheless, Bunnie and Jelly Roll remain committed to raising their children and will continue with their plans to have a child via a surrogate.
