Matty Healy and model Gabbriette Bechtel are officially married.
The couple said “I do” on Saturday through a private ceremony held in Los Angeles, their representatives announced in a press release.
Family members and close friends attended the wedding, while several news outlets reported that the ceremony took place at Madonna’s former estate in the Hollywood Hills.
Reports also revealed that singer Charli XCX was among the guests, alongside her husband, George Daniel, The 1975’s drummer.
Matty Healy, 37, and Gabbriette Bechtel, 28, announced their engagement in 2024 after dating for about nine months.
Per the model’s profile on HommeGirls magazine, she and the Robbers hitmaker tried to meet for four years before they actually connected in Los Angeles in September 2023.
And when they did, Gabbriette Bechtel said that they’ve been “been in love ever since.” She added in the spring/summer 2024 issue that they love playing Fortnite in bed and ordering takeout.
The couple actually began officially dating three months after Matty Healy and Taylor Swift’s breakup following a short-lived, rekindled romance, which, according to multiple theories, inspired the songstress’ 2024 record, The Tortured Poets Department.
An insider revealed to Us Weekly at the time:
“He loves the attention it’s brought to him, [but] he also thinks it’s hilarious because at no time [were they] ever serious. For her to be saying things about baby carriages … and living together — he says it had never even come up. He’s taking it in stride.”
But the frontman’s aunt claimed via the Daily Mail that the TPPD wouldn’t come as a shock to him.
“He’s very happy in his new relationship, so I’m sure he will be focusing on that. She writes about all her relationships, doesn’t she? I don’t think it will come as a shock to him at all. … He will not be surprised by the song. Him and her know what went on.”

Meanwhile, Gabbriette Bechtel first hinted at her engagement with Matty Healy in June 2024 when she posted a photo on Instagram showing a large black diamond ring. She captioned the post:
“Marrying The 1975 is very brat.”
Matty Healy’s mother, television personality Denise Welch, later confirmed the engagement during an episode of Loose Women.
“Instagram official! He’s got engaged to Gabriella Bechtel, Gabbriette she’s known as. I couldn’t be more thrilled. She’s from Los Angeles, she’s absolutely gorgeous. She is everything that I would want in a daughter-in-law, and so I’m thrilled.”
While the couple has largely kept their romance private, the model, albeit rarely, does share tiny glimpses into their relationship. In a quick chat with E! News, she said of Matty Healy:
“He’s taught me a lot about food. The last thing I did was a really good kale salad with pine nuts. Parmesan, sexy little skirt steak and I did potato gratin.”
Neither Healy nor Bechtel has publicly shared additional details from the wedding beyond the statement confirming their marriage.
