He did really well to go so close at Chelmsford last time, staying on for second after going too quick in the early stages. Connections put blinkers on today which may help him to settle and he’s taking a drop down from handicap level, which is another tick in his box. This trip is fine and a repeat of last time would take him very close.
TWILIGHT MADNESS (3.30 Lingfield, nb)
He won easily here two starts ago and showed that was no fluke when following up at Wolver 23 days ago. A 2lb rise for that is more than fair.
TYRRHENIAN SEA (2.00 Lingfield, treble)
Won this race in 2023 and was second 12 months ago. He was a solid third on comeback at Kempton last time and should be spot on fitness-wise for trainer Roger Varian.
GENIETOILE (2.43 Uttoxeter)
Looks good for the Lucky 15 after a promising chase debut at Chepstow last time. He jumped round nicely under a quiet ride and should take a step forward for in-form Rebecca Curtis.
