On the June 16, 2026 episode of The Bold and the Beautiful, Zende was left questioning his future at Forrester as Steffy’s growing suspicion of Hope finally reached a boiling point.
Couture’s Biggest Gamble
Eric, Ridge, RJ, and Zende went over the latest designs for his grand return to couture, and everyone believed that Eric was still at the top of his game. Everyone was convinced that this was going to blow away anything that Logan could ever dream of putting out.
Carter was forced to dampen the good mood by revealing the reality of Eric’s return. The line had become the most expensive collection in the company’s history. The fashion could be the single greatest creative moment of Eric’s career, but it came at a cost. They could not afford for this to flop.
Zende Reaches His Limit
Carter and Zende left to have a private conversation, and he knew how upset Zende was. Zende wasn’t feeling respected or appreciated with RJ back in the mix. RJ was immediately thrown into the favorite position, and despite his attempts to make peace with him, it wasn’t working. Zende wanted HFTF more than anything.
Carter urged Zende to remain calm and patient, but that didn’t go well for Hope. He threatened to follow suit and take a leave of absence like she did. Being overlooked and overshadowed while being as talented as he was wasn’t something that he could handle any further.
Hope Struggles With the Lie
At Logan, Hope was feeling guilty about lying to Brooke about working on the line. Bill suggested they invite Brooke over and come clean right away to ease Hope’s anxiety, but he was mostly joking. This was a major moment for her career, and jumping ship to the enemy might be too significant for her to get past.
Liam agreed with Bill about how Forrester treated Hope and the rest of their discarded employees. It didn’t matter because this was going to be the ultimate slap in the face. Ridge, Brooke, and everyone at the company were going to feel betrayed on the highest level. They didn’t see it coming, which is why the blow was going to hurt more than anything else.
Hope received a call from Steffy, and she summoned her to the office for an important time-sensitive conversation. Hope had no choice but to oblige because ignoring the meeting was going to raise more red flags. Liam was worried that his wife was walking directly into a trap, with a hungry lion awaiting a chance to expose her.
Steffy’s Suspicion Grows
At Forrester, Steffy and Brooke discussed one of Forrester’s most tenured employees walking away from the company. Beyond that, Steffy admitted to Brooke that she was still planning on bringing Hope for the Future back after the focus shifted away from Eric and couture.
Steffy knew that Brooke and Hope didn’t truly believe her, but she seemed genuine this time. She was acting like someone who recognized the value that Hope and her line brought to the company. Steffy was doing the best that she could because there was no specific date for when Hope and her line would be thrust back into the spotlight.
Steffy had started becoming suspicious of Hope and whether something more was going on behind the scenes. She was far more perceptive than Brooke could ever hope to be, so if anyone was going to uncover the truth on her own, it was Steffy.
Brooke was stunned by the idea of Hope walking away from Forrester at the height of the Eric fever, but she couldn’t do anything other than support her. They wanted to know what Katie was going to do at Logan without Eric, but Brooke wasn’t worried. She believed Katie would stick to their handshake agreement to only hire Spencers, so whatever was happening with the mystery designer wasn’t anything for them to worry about.
Hope arrived at the office for her meeting with Steffy, and Steffy asked if she had caught her at a bad time. She noticed that Hope was off, so she needed to offer some convincing words and put everything out on the table. Steffy acknowledged their longtime feud and issues over the years, but just when it seemed like she was going to change her tune, she hit Hope with the truth.
She told her that she was onto her, and she was going to put a stop to it effective immediately.
