Widow’s Bay, Apple TV’s comedy-horror series created by Katie Dippold, wrapped its freshman season with an intense and action-packed finale titled “We Hope You Enjoyed Your Time!” The series is set in the fictional New England island town of Widow’s Bay, afflicted with a centuries-old curse that brings various supernatural evils upon the island. The town’s Mayor, Tom Loftis, sets out to uncover the origins of the curse and break its harrowing cycle.
Widow’s Bay Episode 10 marked the return of the show’s main cast, including Matthew Rhys as the central figure who is hell-bent on breaking the cursed cycle of the titular town.

Widow’s Bay Episode 10 cast: Meet the main players who brought the season finale to life
Matthew Rhys as Tom Loftis: The Brothers & Sisters fame Welsh actor led the Widow’s Bay Episode 10 cast as Tom, the Mayor of the titular Island. Tom was hell-bent on breaking the Island’s curse by killing Ruth, the last living Warren descendant. However, he was struck with a haunting realization when Ruth rambled on about her scandalous affair with a married man, which led to Lauren’s birth, making Evan the last living descendant of Richard.
Kate O’Flynn as Patricia Moyer: The British actress, best known for her role in A Taste of Honey, appeared in the Season 1 finale as Patricia, Tom’s eccentric assistant. While Tom geared up to kill Ruth, Patricia gathered the town’s residents in a shelter, while the storm raged on outside.
Stephen Root as Wyck Crawford: While the NewsRadio alum’s character started on clashing terms with Tom, the two became allies. The Widow’s Bay finale saw Wyck helping Patricia calm the residents in the shelter, while Tom went forward with his murderous plans.
K Callan as Ruth Livingston: The Lois & Clark: The New Adventures of Superman fame actress is the next main addition to the Widow’s Bay finale cast. Ruth took centre stage in the finale, after Tom, Patricia and Wyck discovered that she is the last living Warren descendant and the key to breaking the Island’s curse. While Tom almost poisoned Ruth and Bechir shot at her, in hopes of saving his unborn child, she survived the finale.
Kingston Rumi Southwick as Evan Loftis: Lastly, Southwick’s Evan was another main addition to the finale’s cast. Previously hinted at in Widow’s Bay Episode 7, the latest entry confirmed that Evan is Ruth’s grandson and thus the key to breaking the Island’s curse. While Tom was ready to sacrifice Ruth for the greater good of the Island, it will be interesting to see how this discovery will change his mission.

As the penultimate episode revealed, Tom was ready to sacrifice Ruth to save Evan and the residents of the titular Island. However, the Widow’s Bay finale took a harrowing turn when the Island claimed Kenny, one out of nine souls, hinting that it will continue killing people if Evan is not sacrificed. The final moments of the finale saw Tom and Evan throwing Frances’ brooch in the sea, when the bell tower rung eight times, hinting that it would only go into its deep slumber after taking eight promised souls.
