Rick Ross recently reacted to the online criticism calling Drake’s 3 new albums out as trash. In a video that was released on Ross’s Instagram story and is now no longer available, the rapper reacted to the some of the criticism made in the comments of an Instagram post about Drake’s new album, as per publications such as TMZ.
The rapper started in the first portion of the reaction clip:
“Damn. Ni**as say three albums of trash albums two years too late… Come on guys, stop. Let’s all leave little man alone now man. He did it. He dropped three mid projects. hey man it was fun while it lasted, you’re washed.”
Ross went on to say in the second part of the Instagram story, showcasing a copy of his new book The Renaissance of a Boss: Notes From A Creative Reawakening, tagging Rory of Rory and Mal podcast’s Instagram account, as well as the official Instagram of Drake:
“Its a beautiful morning. Perfect time to feed yourself the knowledge. Rory and Mal, get off your knees. Get the testicles out of your mouth now… Rory, Mal, the glazers. The glazers. How you all feeling now? Drake just committed suicide.”
Ross went on to say that Drake will retire next month and also questioned how the lawsuit was coming along:
“I’m sure he’ll retire next month. How is this lawsuit doing? How is the Drake university lawsuit coming? I don’t know. I don’t know guys. I didn’t listen to YouTube man last night. I’m just going by what you guys say.”
Rick Ross’s new reaction to the comments about Drake’s new albums calling them trash comes after he recently stated in an appearance on Apple Music’s Rap Life Review recap of the VERZUZ battle between him and French Montana that he did not want to see Drake lose and that he did not hate the Canadian rapper.
As of the writing of this article, Drake has not responded to Ross’s new reaction to the negative comments about his album on Instagram.
Rick Ross recently said that nobody feared Drake’s album releases
Rick Ross recently appeared in an interview with Nessa on Hot 97. During the interview, he was asked what really happened between him and Drake. When he replied that Drake had lost his focus, Nessa went on to refer to the aforementioned Rap Life Review appearance, pointing out that he had said that he didn’t want Drake to lose.
In reply, Rick Ross said that he had said that people would love for him to say that he hated Drake and that wasn’t the case but the
“People would love for me to say “I hate this n***a forever”. No, homie. It ain’t that. When somebody steps out of line, and you got to chastise them or give them a spanking, that’s what you do. But is it one of those things where it’s a conspiracy? Hell no. Don’t nobody fear Drake album release. Nobody.”
Rick Ross reiterated his claim that no one was worried about Drake’s ICEMAN album in his appearance on Ari Melber’s show on MS NOW.
Rick Ross’s new book The Renaissance of a Boss: Notes From A Creative Reawakening was published on May 12, 2026. Ross is also set to release his newest album Set In Stone on June 12, 2026.
