Sweet Magnolias Season 5 Episode 10 recap: Jessica tells her decision to the family
The finale episode starts with Dana Sue leaving the house after calling out Ronnie for not listening to her. She meets Clark and gives her a sweet cannoli, explaining that she has been facing a difficult phase, and in these situations, she likes to cook. Clark praises her for being the best and supports her during her rough time by being a good friend.
As for Jessica, she had a talk with Helen, and after her advice, she tells her dad and Erik that she wants to change her path, a realization she had after staying in Serenity. She adds that while she wants to get a business degree, she wants to try a lighter and broader schedule to be a more well-rounded asset.
In the end, she gets the support of her father, who hugs her and tells her to ask him if she needs any help.
Sweet Magnolias Season 5 finale episode recap: Helen and Erik get married
Helen, Dana Sue, and Maddie share a margarita as they get emotional while talking about their lives. Helen tells Dana Sue that whatever is going on, she’s not alone in this, as they decide to have a party. Later, the ladies get ready for the wedding. On the other hand, Erik seems stressed because of the absence of his parents.
Erik’s parents later attend the wedding, with his father telling him that his mother had met with an accident. While this leaves him stressed, she soon clarifies that she had just spilled coffee on her dress.
The couple finally gets married as Erik vows to love Helen forever, along with learning from her forever, and Helen promises to show him her commitment and never let go of each other.

In the Sweet Magnolias Season 5 finale, Maddie tells Cal she wants to grow her contacts and starts a small press while staying in Serenity. After Helen and Kirk get married, the whole group dances together on the floor. Meanwhile, Cal says he spoke to Jodie, and the investors are coming to Serenity to look around and discuss starting a new team.
Erik’s parents also introduce themselves and admire Erik in front of everyone, and Serenity for helping them see Erik in a different way. Additionally, Erik and Helen also give a toast, admiring the people of Serenity. While dancing, they decide to become foster parents.
Meanwhile, Dana Sue explains her feelings to Ronnie that she tries to stay busy so that she doesn’t have to focus more on the broken things.
