After the governor asks Ji-ui to meet him, he and Ha-ri’s grandmother, who had signed up for the clinical trials, take the ferry to go to Yeopoong. As the grandma holds Ji-ui’s hand to comfort him on the ferry, he also accompanies her to the hospital.

However, after seeing others’ conditions, she gets scared and leaves. We see a good bonding forming between the two as Ji-ui assures the grandma that it’s okay to be scared.

Later, Ji-ui goes to the conference where the governor was present, and he talks about how he saved the kid. On the governor’s signal, they also ask Ji-ui if they received any help from the county office, which leaves Ji-ui shocked, as he wasn’t expecting it. The governor was trying to build his own image and take the credit for the same by showing the care and support he has for the island people.

After he arrives back on the island, Ha-ri receives a fax about Ji-ui’s transfer. She tells him that he is supposed to report to Yeopoong-gun from tomorrow. Even after he tries, he can’t change the decision, as doing so comes with its own consequences.

In the end, he decides to leave for Yeopoong, and everyone from the hospital, along with Ha-ri’s grandmother and the kid he saved, comes to wish him luck on his journey.

Doctor on the Edge Episode 6 recap: Ha-ri gets upset with Ji-ui’s decision

After he reaches Yeopoong, Ji-ui learns that he doesn’t have to treat patients and only needs to accompany the governor during his interviews. He then asks the governor to send him back to the island, saying that as a doctor, he should be treating patients rather than standing in front of cameras. His words earn praise, and his transfer is ultimately canceled.

On the other hand, in Doctor on the Edge Episode 6, Ha-ri and the team learn about an injured patient at the port and soon reach the location to treat him. Upon their arrival, they also see Ji-ui there, who helps the team treat the injured man.

Later, Ji-ui asks Ha-ri in private about her reason for ignorance, and she asks him why he didn’t tell her that her grandmother gave up on life, adding that she will convince her. When she asks Ji-ui to help her convince her grandmother, he says sorry. Ji-ui wants to respect his patients’ wishes and doesn’t want to mix professional life with personal life.

But after hearing his response, Ha-ri leaves without saying a word. Will this bring another twist in their love story, or will Ji-ui come up with a solution? Viewers will only know once Episode 7 releases.
