Posting a slew of snaps and clips, the soap star wrote: “Worst year I’ve ever had in my life.
“I couldn’t catch a break, thank god for my friends and family.
“This has been one of the worst years I’ve ever experienced.
“And I know this because literally I couldn’t find a single happy period to even post about.”
Reflecting on the snaps she chose to post, which included time with her dog and also appearing in panto, Georgia wrote: “So here are some little things that made me happy in the middle of it all. (Not the fire obvs).
“Don’t worry, running is going to get it’s on post because without that I’m not even sure where I would be.”
Speaking about the fire that destroyed her beauty salon and caused her a huge financial blow, she wrote: “I don’t even want to get into why it was so awful.
“But when the fire happened I really didn’t think it could get any worse. Then the stress of this year just sent my vitiligo wild. I really lost all my confidence.”
She then talked about how she is a “fighter” and “strong”, and reassured others that when times are tough it is “ok to cry”.
Georgia ended the post by saying: “Please be kind to others. Please stay strong if you are struggling.
“Life is hard. But we only get the one. So love deeply. Be loved. And just try and find a little happiness in everyday. Whatever that may be to you.”
NAIL SALON FIRE
Georgia suffered a huge blow when her beauty business was destroyed in a devastating fire.
On June 25, she took to Instagram to report her salon unit had burned down.
Georgia launched the nail salon after she struggled to find acting work.
But because of the blaze, she had to resort to crowd funding to try and raise money to get the company up and running again.
The actress had created a successful side-hustle to her acting by training as a nail technician and setting up a salon in Middleton, Greater Manchester.
MARRAIGE SPLIT
The Sun exclusively revealed how Georgia and husband Kris are heading for divorce just two years after tying the knot in an intimate ceremony.
The actress has removed her wedding ring and wiped all traces of the musician who she once called her “best friend” from her Instagram page — including glossy snaps from their wedding.
A source told The Sun: “Georgia’s marriage to Kris seems to be over. It’s on the rocks.
“She’s looking to the future and is surrounded by friends and her family.”
LACK OF ACTING WORK
In July, Georgia also opened up about how her acting work had dried up.
Speaking about returning to the UK from Serbia in 2021, where she filmed CW drama The Outpost, she told the Sausage on a Fork podcast:: “I came back in the December of 2020 and I just realised, ‘Oh my God, there’s no work.’
“Everything that got stopped filming in the UK then got put on a back burner, and then there was a backlog of what was about to start filming.
“Then everything behind that took four years to come out, then we had the writers’ strikes.”
The distraught star then added: “It’s just been a nightmare.
“And that’s why this has been the quietest I’ve ever been in my life.
“I think a lot of actors around the world will say the exact time.”
