General Hospital’s Valentin Survives ‘Z’…But Will He Survive Sonny?

Generals Hospital’s international fugitive, Valentin Cassadine, donned his dapper suit, said sad so longs to Carly and Charlotte, and took off to Geneva to find “Z,” the myterious WSB director who can (hopefully) solve all his problems, or at the very least, save Josslyn.

Valentin knew he was taking a risk and could be killed on the spot, but he does it anyway to save the day. And now we know he does not get killed, but he will have a big problem on his hands when this is all over.

Valentin Comes Down From The Attic

Carly’s (Laura Wright) attic boyfriend is no more, but it’s pretty clear that Carly would like Valentin (James Patrick Stuart) to be her non-attic boyfriend and come out of hiding when they have taken care of the Sidwell-Cullum-Jack-Josslyn-WSB mess. According to Soap Opera Digest, it’s Carly who takes on “Z” herself, which could very much impress Valentin.

And while Anna (Finola Hughes) also makes her Port Charles return, a changed woman after all her months in a French mental institution, someone else will be quite surprised to learn that Carly and Valentin have become the couple to watch in Port Charles. (We still can’t believe it ourselves.)

Sonny’s Always the Last to Know

During Carly’s half-year as Valentin’s landlord, roommate, partner-in-crime, and lover, the one person’s reaction we have wanted to see is Sonny’s (Maurice Benard). He always has something to say about his ex-wife’s antics and this one is sure a doozy. Sonny should have been concerned with how quiet Carly has been all these months with Jason away, but it never occurred to him that she could be up to something.

But he is going to learn about Carly’s relationship with Valentin the hard way and wonder why he’s always the last to know. And in typical Sonny fashion, he decides to take matters into his own hands.

Sonny enlists Brick’s (Stephen A. Smith) help to end Carly and Valentin’s relationship ASAP. Will Sonny remember that Valentin was also behind his bipolar med switch two years ago and inform Carly that there’s more to her new boyfriend than meets the eye?

Between Anna’s return and Sonny’s ire, it doesn’t look like smooth sailing for Carly and Valentin any time soon, but isn’t that always the way on a soap?
