Jackson, a published author, has penned another book, The Eternal Poet and The Cosmic Drama, which is available for preorder on Amazon. The tome will be released later this year, on September 26. The GH star (Lucky Spencer) says that it is a sequel to his tome, The Mystery of Art, which was published in 2014.

On his Instagram account, he posted a video of himself describing the book. The book, he says, is “a deep dive into the art of storytelling as it relates to history, the Bible, and Pagan Mythology. Many years in the making. It’s primarily for filmmakers, poets, writers, and performers, but more broadly for anyone interested in how the arts relate to faith and meaning.”

The new book is currently ranked as the No. 1 new release on Amazon in Christian Orthodoxy.

The Mystery of Art was also a spiritual, faith-based book that “explores the profound implications of human creativity in the image of God, along with the process of becoming an artist (of any sort) dedicated to practicing his or her art from the context of a deep relationship with God.”

Jackson has also written three books of poetry. The most recent, Anthology of Longing, was published last December. The book has 151 poems of a mystical nature that “contain the essence of longing in the spirit of modern man to reconnect with silence, prayer, and transcendence.”

The actor/singer has stayed busy in multiple genres since leaving GH in June 2025.

Jonathan Jackson is a multi-talented artist

Jackson is also known for playing Avery Barkley on the ABC and CMT series Nashville from 2012 to 2018. The series was a drama set in the country music world. He and costar Clare Bowen (who played Scarlett O’Connor) are starting a tour where they’ll perform songs and share stories from the series. Jackson and Bowen promise intimate, acoustic hits and hidden gems from the show, plus original music.

The tour begins May 16 in Maryland and continues through June. Jackson and Bowen posted a video promoting one of their first shows on their Instagram accounts.

Jackson has also released a new album called “Under The Skies of Babylon: Volume One.” It is his first solo record, and the first of a four-album series. It is available on all music services. The first single was “Opening Curtain,” which was released in January.

Jackson made his GH debut in 1993 along with TV parents Genie Francis (Laura) and the late Anthony Geary (Luke). The supercouple’s return was a major milestone in Luke and Laura’s history. Viewers learned that Laura was expecting a child when she and Luke were on the show in 1984.

While Lucky is currently off the canvas, two of his siblings, Lulu (Alexa Havins) and Ethan (Nathan Dean), are living in Port Charles.
