Off-screen, Cameron Mathison is in a completely different place. A recent social media clip started circulating, and fans latched onto his fascinating conversation.
General Hospital star gets called out over one daily habit
Mathison shared an Instagram post with Wellness Expert and TV Host, Andi Lew, who posted a video of him, writing, “He’s Mr Wellness, wildly fit & strong, and embodies resilience, so we just had to bring this interview to you. Coming Soon. Featuring Emmy Award-winning [Cameron Mathison] on Series 3 of Well to Do podcast to be aired next month!”
She also asked if any fans were addicted to coffee, adding, “Or am I the only one that doesn’t need it for energy?” She continued by explaining that one of her “biggest tips to aging well” was drinking more water and less coffee.
In the video, Mathison leaned into it, calling her out right back when she nudged him about his habits. “You’re gonna call me out, we just talked about how healthy I am.” It landed with a laugh, but not entirely as a joke.
Because Lew didn’t back off. She pointed straight at the one thing that might undercut all that discipline, telling him, “You drink way too much coffee.” The kind of comment that sticks because it’s said casually, but not lightly.
A coffee clatch from fans
Once the clip hit, the comment section split into two camps almost instantly. The supportive crowd arrived first, ready for the interview and whatever insights it might offer. First, the easy enthusiasm showed as @shewolffilms wrote, “Can’t wait to watch this episode!” while @larashannon added, “Sounds like it will be a great interview,” and @happykat.au echoed it with, “Oh, this is going to be a great episode.”
Then the tone shifted once the coffee callout came, and people locked onto it hard. @veronikalarisova joked, “You both look like you are high on coffee! Which coffee shop did you go to?” while @cynthia62012 pushed back with, “There’s no such thing as too much coffee.” And right in the middle of all that, like it couldn’t help itself, the GH frustration slipped through, with @crystalinaacosta2 asking, “What’s going on with Drew? How much longer are you going to be just blinking?”
Which is a strange overlap. Mathison is out there talking about control, balance, and dialing things in. Meanwhile, Drew can’t even move the needle. One of them is adjusting habits, while the other is still waiting for the story to catch up.
