General Hospital, remembering Anthony Geary
“Greetings to all, and happy Wednesday,” Gama began an Instagram post. “It was a wet and grey start to the day here in Amsterdam, but the sun came out in the afternoon.
“Today, I took some pictures of Tony and me down from the bookshelves and moved them lower so I can see them every day. I miss him so much,” Geary’s husband added.
“It’s been a quiet day with Max [our cat], just moving a few things around, also doing some needlework, all the letters done,” Gama added. “Dinner tonight will be pasta with salmon and mixed vegetables—an easy meal. Max and I are sending lots of cuddles. Stay safe and healthy.”
“Love these and what a great idea,” chimed in @jrpuppymama, inquiring, “Where did you meet? I always ask that of friends where they found their love because it has eluded me. 🙌❤️”
Gama replied: “We met here in Amsterdam, he had just started making plans to find a place in Amsterdam, and we found each other happy week 🙌.”
Remembering Anthony Geary and Luke Spencer

“Miss ya, Claudio ❤️,” posted Finola Hughes (Anna Devane). Gama responded: “I miss ya too and so does little Max happy week 🙌.”
While Luke had been killed off in 2022, GH paid a follow-up tribute to the character after news of Geary’s passing last December became known. Several characters, who still reside in Port Charles, including Laura (Genie Francis), Sonny (Maurice Benard), Lulu (Alexa Havins), and Tracy (Jane Elliot), gathered to honor Luke.
Geary joined GH in late 1978 as Lucas Lorenzo “Luke” Spencer. the brother of then-nursing student Bobbie Spencer (the late Jacklyn Zeman). Bobbie asked for Luke’s help in breaking up Laura and Scotty (Kin Shriner), whom Bobbie wanted for herself.
Luke delivered in ways that Bobbie never could have dreamed of by falling in love with Laura. They shared a tumultuous relationship over the years. Their marriage in 1981 remains the highest-rated episode of daytime drama ever. with a reported 30 million viewers tuning in. Helena Cassadine (played by Elizabeth Taylor) put a curse on the newlyweds, which arguably worked as they eventually divorced.
