The Boys Season 5 Episode 7 will be released soon, and it is basically the tail end of the series. The last few episodes of the season were known to be huge, but after what happened in episode 6 of The Boys Season 5, fans have taken over social media and are talking about it like crazy.
Homelander has the V-1 in his body. The group trying to eliminate him has been reset to its origin point. Watching the sneak peek for the seventh episode only adds to the level of suspense involved.
The name of this episode is The Frenchman, the Female, and the Man Called Mother’s Milk. It will premiere on Amazon Prime Video on May 13, 2026, and will be around 60-61 minutes. It will be the nearly final episode of the series. Therefore, all of the things that happen in this episode will lead up to the finale, where they will be resolved.
Soldier Boy managed to get the V1 off Bombsight in episode 6 of The Boys Season 5, but then simply handed it straight over to Homelander, who injected it into his veins right then and there. That is the situation going into episode 7, and it is a bad one.
Homelander becomes president in The Boys Season 5, Episode 7
Everyone is talking about this one. The teaser for The Boys Season 5 Episode 7 shows Homelander basically deposing President Calhoun through a violent and forceful takeover of the White House and destroying everything that remains of the democratic process in this universe’s version of America. This is the move that creates total desperation among the people who continue to fight against Homelander because he has now become more than the strongest person in the country.
Eric Kripke, the executive producer of the show, pointed out a line of dialogue coming from this particular episode that he said is the most insane thing the writers have ever written, and yet it actually occurred in the real world. It also provides insight into the area that the show heads are taking with the last two episodes, and unfortunately, it does not sound comforting.
The Deep faces the fallout
Things are not looking great for The Deep either, going into this episode. After an oil leak sent him spiralling, The Deep broke down completely and ended up strangling and then stabbing Black Noir II. That is a massive deal, because it means yet another member of Homelander’s inner circle is gone, and The Deep is now in a very difficult position.
With The Deep having killed Black Noir, that is one more person out of the picture, and it seems like Chace Crawford’s character may need to do some serious grovelling in front of Homelander to survive what comes next, unless he finds some courage and decides to push back.
Whether The Deep ends up as a victim of Homelander’s growing rage or somehow finds a way to make himself useful again is one of the more interesting questions heading into the penultimate episode of The Boys Season 5.
The Gen V kids finally arrive in The Boys Season 5
This is the moment a lot of fans have been holding out for all of The Boys Season 5. The teaser shows Marie Moreau, played by Jaz Sinclair, and Jordan Li, played by London Thor and Derek Luh, finally showing up after showrunner Eric Kripke had earlier teased that the Gen V kids would definitely appear before the season ended.
Gen V got cancelled after its second season, so for many viewers, these appearances in The Boys may be the last time they see most of these young characters on screen. Kripke has said in interviews that Marie still does not fully have control over her abilities, making clear she is not arriving as a ready-made solution to everything.
Still, fans have been speculating heavily about what she could bring to the fight. One theory is that Marie’s blood manipulation powers could be the only thing capable of destabilising the V1 serum inside Homelander’s body, while another suggests she might at least be able to detect V1 inside a supe before it takes full effect. None of that has been confirmed yet, but with only one episode left after this one, the show is running out of time to explain what role she actually plays.
Sister Sage switches sides in the penultimate episode of The Boys Season 5
The episode also teases Sister Sage quietly shifting her allegiances toward the resistance, while an unstable machine is being used on Kimiko in what appears to be a desperate attempt to change the effects of Compound V through radiation exposure. Sage has always been the smartest person in any room she walks into, so her moving against Homelander is a significant development, even if her reasons are not fully clear from the preview alone.
Soldier Boy remains the wildcard to watch, since he is still the only person alive with the ability to neutralise supes, and potentially the only one who could reverse the effects of V1, making the question of whether he turns against his own son one of the biggest unknowns still hanging over the show. The Boys Season 5 finale, titled Blood and Bone, is set for May 20, 2026, on Prime Video.
