Javi and Gabi sat at a Brady Pub table, going over the designs for Leo’s wedding ring. Gabi admitted that Leo was starting to grow on her. Gabi wouldn’t quite call them friends, but admitted that Leo was pretty funny. Javi did his best to defend Leo. “I am marrying the new and improved Leo, the one who is working on being a better person. The one who has a good heart and the one who is an amazing foster dad.

The subject turned to Little T. Javi confessed that he still feels he should check on the baby in the middle of the night. Javi then noticed that the pub was now holding trivia nights. Gabi became sad as she told Javi that she and Theo had been talking about trivia night just before he had vanished.

Javi gave Gabi a look and she realized he thought she might have kidnapped the DiMeras so she could get the CEO job. Gabi was horrified that her cousin would think such a thing. Gabi came to the conclusion that Javi was just worried about losing her if she went to jail. Gabi assured him that wasn’t going to happen.

Jada stood in the Hernandez kitchen, feeling a bit awkward talking to Rafe. He wanted to discuss the disappearance of the various DiMeras. She was surprised to see that Rafe had been investigating the DiMeras for months. “As you know, I have a personal interest in bringing down EJ, after what he did,” Rafe said. Jada admitted she felt the same.

Rafe was shocked to hear that Jada had been waiting to meet Theo for a date when he disappeared. Rafe thought that EJ was behind all of this, as kidnapping Theo cleared a path for him to run DiMera Enterprises. Jada pointed out that Chad had nothing to do with the company. Rafe admitted none of this made any sense.

Rafe showed Jada the photos of the clothing in the DiMera tunnels, but couldn’t explain where he got them. They deduced that whoever was staying down there wasn’t there against their will.

After Jada left, Javi returned home and Rafe could tell that he was hiding something. Javi finally told Rafe the whole story of Gabi spying on the Kiriakis brothers so she could become CEO of DiMera. “This gives Gabi motive to take out both Theo and Tony!” Rafe exclaimed.

When Gabi got home, she couldn’t imagine why Rafe and Javi were looking at her strangely. After Javi left the room, Rafe asked Gabi to promise him she had nothing to do with the disappearing DiMeras. She knew that Javi had spilled the beans on her DiMera/Kiriakis plot.

As Johnny and Chanel walked through Horton Town Square, Chanel lamented the security detail that was following them, but Johnny explained to her that it was necessary. Chanel also worried about Theo. Johnny wanted Chanel to remain calm and reminded her that Trey might be able to pick up on her stress.

When Chanel walked away to change Trey’s diaper, Jonny turned around to find EJ standing there. “Considering the danger we’re all in, I just needed to see with my own eyes that my son was okay,” EJ said. “Well, now that you’ve see me, you can go,” Johnny replied.

Johnny also asked if there was anything he could do to help the family. EJ pointed out that a DiMera should be at the helm of DiMera Enterprises. He wanted Johnny to take over. Johnny was aghast. “People’s lives are in danger and you’re here worried about a stock price,” Johnny accused.

Just then, Chanel reappeared. When she heard what EJ wanted from Johnny, she put her foot down about it. Johnny was on Chanel’s side and told EJ to run the company himself. EJ argued that he had a hospital to run, so Chanel called BS on him. “You can take your job offer and shove it. And you can also stay the heck away from us,” she demanded.

When Johnny and Chanel returned home, she apologized for overstepping with EJ, but Johnny said he would have done the same if she had not said what she had. They then lovingly gave Trey his first Christmas ornament.

As for EJ, he was fuming when Jada arrived at the DiMera mansion with a warrant to search the place. She asked to see the room in the tunnel and was surprised to see that the cot and the clothing were gone. She implied that EJ told whoever was hiding there to leave.

Xander stopped by Marlena’s hospital room to chat. She thanked him for the flowers, so he explained that he had wanted to deliver them himself, but felt he needed to visit Sarah. However, when he got to her room, Sarah was with Brady.

“I’ve been seeing Sarah with Brady a lot, and yes, it bothers me,” Xander admitted. “Although I signed the divorce papers, I guess there’s just a part of me that can’t accept that it’s over.”

Marlena acknowledged that it must have been hard to sign the papers, while also offering to recommend a new therapist until she was back on her feet. Xander said he didn’t want a new therapist. “I don’t think I can trust anyone else the way I trust you, so I will patiently await your recovery,” Xander said.

Xander sat down and treated himself to an impromptu therapy session anyway. “Brady’s the one who gave me the courage to sign the divorce papers. He reminded me that I lost my family because of my inability to control my anger. And while I have been working diligently on that, the truth is, I’m not there yet. As we’ve discussed many times, until I am there, I just can’t be the husband and father that Sarah and Victoria deserve. So, right now, this is what I have to do.”

Xander worried that while he was going to become a better person that Brady would move in on Sarah. “After everything I’ve done to Brady, it would be poetic justice if he did steal Sarah from me,” Xander sighed. He then rethought his phrasing. “I am well aware, Sarah is not my possession, and therefore she is not mine to steal,” he added.

Marlena was ready to talk about Sarah more, but Xander stopped her and apologized. “I really just came to check on you,” he said. The subject then turned to Rachel. Xander said he sometimes still thinks of her as Mickey. “I may have my issues with Brady, but as a father, I really do feel for him. Being separated from your child is hell on Earth,” Xander confessed.

He added that signing away visitation rights to Victoria was the most difficult thing he had ever done. “The only thing that gives me any solace is that I did it without resentment in my heart. I wasn’t vowing revenge or retaliation. I did do it out of love,” he said. Xander was also unsure of when he would be ready to take off his wedding ring.

Sarah caught a shirtless Brady walking through the hallway by the Kiriakis mansion bedrooms. “I can go put a robe on or something,” Brady offered. “Oh, you don’t have to. I’ve seen plenty of naked bodies,” Sarah awkwardly said, explaining that she was a doctor.

Later, Brady found Sarah in the living room playing with an invisible and silent Victoria in her stroller. As Victoria allegedly played in her stroller, Brady lamented how hard it was knowing that Rachel was in a psychiatric hospital. He also felt awful that Rachel felt she was to blame for Kristen being in prison and supposedly escaping.

Brady also told Sarah that Rachel was sorry for what she did to her and gave Sarah an apology note from Rachel. After Sarah read it, Brady admitted that he didn’t know what he would have done if something had happened to her.
