From Season 4 is going to premiere on MGM+ on April 19, 2026, and will conclude the show’s story since it is the last season. In this upcoming season, surviving in the Township will become even more difficult, and its residents will do their best to find a way out of the nightmare they have been reliving for years. But while most aspects of the show has been loved by viewers so far, there has been one problem with the show than fans have complained about for the longest time, which is how rarekg characters share crucial information with each other.
This lack of communication often slowed down the plot and left both the characters and the audiences frustrated. As we get closer to From Season 4, Harold Perrineau, who plays Boyd, has revealed that the final season will fix this problem.
Characters will finally share more with each other in From Season 4
Throughout earlier seasons, key characters like Boyd Stevens, Tabitha Matthews, and Jade Herrera frequently discovered important clues about the Township. Despite that, they often kept their findings to themselves. This meant that no one could put all the pieces together fast enough to have a complete understanding of what was happening, which led to missed opportunities and constant confusion. It became a pattern that fans found hard to ignore, and led to them questioning why the characters refused to communicate.
It looks like that criticism is going to get addressed. In From Season 4, communication is going to become a central focus. Harold Perrineau, who plays Boyd, addressed this change in an interview with ScreenRant. When asked about if the characters would communicate better in the final season and why suddenly that would occur, Perrineau said to ScreenRant,
“Those are decisions that John [Griffin] makes in the writing room, so I don’t know, but I think – I could be wrong – I think it’s a natural progression. The audience keeps screaming like, “Why don’t you just talk to each other?” And it’s really true.”
He continued to explain,
“But I think it’s a natural progression of what starts to happen is everybody gets a new piece and another piece and then we start to lose people. So you kind of crash into having to talk to other people. I think that that’s what naturally happens, but that’s what’s making it more fun. It’s like, “Wait, they’re really putting the pieces together,” and then we as the audience get to in real time put the pieces together like, “Oh my God, Jade was Christopher? What does he remember about that?” So it’s really fun.”

Perrineau’s statement reflects how the story is evolving. As the Township becomes more dangerous and the number of dead people increases the characters can no longer take the risk of working alone. From Season 4 will learn into this feeling of urgency among its characters and showing them finally connecting the dots.
This change however did not occur overnight. The foundation for this shift was already laid in the Season 3’s finale. Tabitha and Jade’s decision to share what they knew led to a major revelation about their identities and their repeated presence in the Township. It was a turning point that showed how powerful the characters would be if only they worked together. From Season 4 is expected to build directly on that.
Still, it isn’t easy to find out real information in the show’s world. Jim Matthews’ death at the hands of the mysterious Man in Yellow is a stark reminder of what happens when the truth is uncovered. Despite that, From Season 4 will show characters opening up, sharing more, and teaming up, even if it puts them at risk.
Another reason this change was brought upon is the timing and the storytelling. With the series approaching its end, there is no time to hold back answers. From Season 4 has to resolve all the mysteries that have been building up in the previous seasons. Thus, it is crucial to the story that character finally put two and two together, and escape the hellish town and it’s monsters. However, all this needs to be done with caution as the characters don’t know whom they can trust and whom they can’t.
From Season 4 will premiere on MGM+ on April 19, 2026. Remaining nine episodes will be released weekly on Sundays until June 21, 2026.
