Fallout Season 3 will finally inside a major game details fans have been waiting for

Fallout fans’ patience is finally about to pay off as the show is incorporating a major detail from the game in Fallout Season 3. Showrunner Geneva Robertson-Dworet has confirmed that season 3 of Prime Video’s hit post-apocalyptic drama will finally bring in elements from the original video games that were deliberately held back from earlier seasons, and from what we now know, the waiting was part of the plan.

Speaking to SFX Magazine, Robertson-Dworet revealed that there were things she had wanted to include since season one, but Bethesda Game Studios director Todd Howard advised against it, warning that introducing certain elements too early would be a mistake. Now, with two seasons of groundwork laid, the timing is finally right.

Speaking to the outlet she said,

“The show is always going to get bigger and bigger and explore new regions. There are definitely a few things from the game that we’ve wanted to do since season one. Now, it’s narratively the right time to get to them but I don’t want to say more than that and spoil it.”

Aaron Moten also3 teased that season 3 will raise the stakes considerably as he added,

I’m sure there will be more chaos. Much more chaos. I’m excited to get to be back at work with my good friend Ella. It will be really fun.”

Everything we know about Fallout Season 3

One of Prime Video’s biggest hits is coming back, and the wasteland is about to get a whole lot bigger. Fallout Season 3 was announced back in May 2025, well before season 2 had even premiered. It was also announced that the team was aiming to start filming in summer 2026, with a potential early 2027 release if all goes to plan.

Talking about the third season, Howard told Variety,

“For us on the game and TV show side, we’re writing season 3 now. “We’re having those conversations now of, what are we doing in season 3 for the TV show, and what elements can we bring into our games at that time when it comes out that don’t feel forced or fake.”

As for the cast, Goggins, Purnell, and Moten are all expected back, along with Justin Theroux’s Robert House and Moisés Arias as Norm. Macaulay Culkin’s Legate is also likely to return.

More details on Fallout Season 3 will be announced soon. The first two seasons are streaming on Prime Video.
