Jessie and D’Lila Combs have launched modeling careers while supporting their father through his criminal trial and 50 month prison sentence
The twin daughters of Sean “Diddy” Combs have spent the past year navigating an impossible balance between pursuing their modeling dreams and standing by their father through one of the most public criminal trials in recent entertainment history. Jessie and D’Lila Combs, now 18, have emerged as poised young women carving out their own identities while remaining fiercely loyal to their embattled father.
Born December 21, 2006, to Combs and his late girlfriend Kim Porter, the twins arrived as an early Christmas gift weighing just over five pounds each. Their names honor their grandmothers, Jessie Smalls and Lila Star, representing the influential matriarchs who shaped both parents’ lives. Porter, herself a successful model, died in 2018, leaving the twins motherless at age 11.
Building careers in their mother’s image
The sisters have pursued modeling with determination, following in Porter’s footsteps in an industry where their famous last name opens doors but also invites intense scrutiny. Their professional breakthrough came in August 2021 when they walked the Dolce & Gabbana Alta Moda runway in Venice alongside their sister Chance. The twins expressed overwhelming excitement about the opportunity, describing it as a dream come true and thanking their father and team for supporting them through the experience.
Since then, their modeling portfolio has expanded to include covers for Vanity Fair and Essence, appearances during Miami Swim Week, and participation in Ellaé Lisqué’s 10 year anniversary show in September 2025. In their May 2023 interview with V Magazine, where they graced the cover with Chance, the twins reflected on watching their mother prepare for shoots and knowing from a young age that modeling represented their calling.
A childhood in the spotlight
The twins graduated from Sierra Canyon, a Los Angeles preparatory school, in May 2025, just as their father’s criminal trial dominated headlines. They had been cheerleaders at the school despite having no prior experience, helping their team secure a national championship at Disneyland in February 2024. Their active presence on Instagram and TikTok, where they share content as The Combs Twins, has given followers glimpses into their lives beyond the courtroom drama.
Their 16th birthday celebration in December 2022 featured a futuristic themed party with performances and matching black and white Range Rovers from their father. The lavish event showcased the privilege that has defined much of their upbringing, even as tragedy and controversy have also marked their young lives.
Standing by their father
Combs was convicted on two prostitution related charges in 2025 after being arrested for sex trafficking, racketeering and transportation to engage in prostitution. He was acquitted of the sex trafficking and racketeering charges but received a 50 month prison sentence in October 2025. Throughout the trial, Jessie and D’Lila maintained a visible presence in court, demonstrating unwavering support despite the serious nature of the allegations.
Both twins addressed the judge during sentencing on October 3, delivering emotional remarks that acknowledged their father’s imperfections while pleading for his presence in their lives. Jessie told the court that while they recognized his mistakes and were not excusing them, he remained their father and they still needed him. D’Lila referenced their two year old sister asking where their dad had gone, drawing parallels to their own experience growing up without their mother and expressing exhaustion at being strong through repeated losses.
Honoring their mother’s memory
The twins regularly post tributes to Porter on social media, particularly on Mother’s Day. Their May 2025 message described her as the best mother anyone could have had and expressed how difficult the years without her guidance have been as they mature into young women. They pledged to follow in her footsteps and make her proud, suggesting Porter’s influence continues shaping their choices and aspirations.
Looking toward uncertain futures
In July 2025, shortly after graduation, the twins launched their fashion brand 12TWINTY1, a reference to their December 21 birthday. The entrepreneurial venture represents their attempt to build something independent of their father’s empire while capitalizing on their growing fashion industry connections.
Nearly a month after Combs received his prison sentence, the twins celebrated his November birthday with an Instagram post calling him the best dad. The message underscored their determination to maintain their relationship despite his incarceration and the public controversy surrounding his conviction. For Jessie and D’Lila, loyalty to family appears non negotiable, even as they work to establish their own identities separate from their father’s complicated legacy.
