Here’s what went down April 10, 2026, on Beyond the Gates when Madison got felled by a Willow, the cotillion revealed holes in June and Samantha’s relationship, and Nicole found discrepancies in both her laptop and a lifelong friendship.
What happened on Beyond the Gates
On Beyond the Gates, June cried that she couldn’t give Samantha what she needed as Nicole entered the diner. Samantha felt terrible for saying June was selfish; Nicole helped Samantha to realize that she still had unresolved feelings about June having given her and Tyrell up for adoption, which were surfacing through the cotillion issue. June insisted that she was trying to protect Tyrell and Samantha by not attending, since people like the Belleclaires had likely already spread the news that June was trash. Samantha said that she’d rather lose her shot at being platinum deb than not have June there; when Samantha swore that she was proud of June, the former homeless woman agreed to come to the gala.
How many lawyers you got (a lot)
Ashley was asking Madison if it would be unethical to submit Grayson’s mother for the Parkinson’s clinical trial that Madison was helping to develop when Madison was approached by a process server. Naomi happened by, and Madison showed the lawyer that she was being sued for medical malpractice.
At Bill’s office, he hinted to Hayley that she could freely tell him if anyone had been bothering her; Hayley didn’t seem to realize he was referring to Lynette. Chelsea arrived with news of ChelseaKat’s line being picked up by the Fenmore’s department store chain, then got a panicked call from Madison. After Hayley beat a hasty retreat, Madison sat with Bill and Naomi and explained that the plaintiff’s child had nearly died after following a treatment which Madison’s mother, Willow Adams, had posted on a blog and claimed that Madison had endorsed.
Madison had to choose between Bill’s advice, which was to settle and avoid a court case, and Naomi’s advice, which was to fight in court, since settling would imply guilt. Worried about putting her career and her Parkinson’s research in danger, Madison decided to fight – and Naomi agreed to represent her, with Bill functioning as co-counsel.
If U get caught
Smitty had gotten into Nicole’s hospital laptop and was photographing information about Grayson when Naomi entered Nicole’s office to drop off Dupree Foundation paperwork. After Smitty managed to get out without arousing Naomi’s suspicions, he got a call to meet Jacob in the stairwell. Smitty and Jacob barely avoided being seen by Ashley; she was taking her own call there from Grayson, who told her that he had gone home sick. Later, Jacob sensed that Grayson had left the hospital because of his contact’s suspicions, and he was furious to learn that Smitty had gotten a list of Grayson’s colleagues off of Nicole’s computer. Smitty was certain that he hadn’t put Nicole at risk, but, when she got to her office and saw that a program she never used had been left open, she put in a call to management about it.
Dare me
Randy entered the back room of the casino as Vanessa was once again trying to talk Joey into letting her participate in his other businesses. Vanessa got a call from Lynette, who wanted to view her potential penthouse. After Vanessa left to meet her, Joey surmised to Randy that Lynette had to be getting money from Hayley – and she from Bill – for Lynette to be able to afford luxury accommodations. Joey knew that Randy would remain mum about Hayley and Lynette, but was intrigued by the growing mystery.
Hayley met with Randy, incensed to hear that Lynette was buying property in town after she had promised to leave. Randy vowed to handle Lynette – except to Hayley, Randy was just another of Lynette’s marks. Granting that he’d had his fun with Lynette, Randy said it was time for less pleasant treatment of her since she had crossed the line.
Vanessa ran into Nicole, expecting an apology for her walking out on the double date with Joey. Nicole refused and was horrified that Vanessa was prioritizing Joey over her friends and even her children. Vanessa yelled that she loved Joey and crowed that now she was in a monogamous relationship while Nicole was dallying with her “doctors with benefits.” Nicole couldn’t believe that Vanessa was willing to end their friendship over Joey and left Vanessa standing there.
Deanna made a mystery call, telling the recipient that “it” would only work if “they” did their part. She then went to Joey and demanded that he stop seeing Vanessa, though he balked that he took orders from no one. When Deanna sniffed that everyone in the DMV knew Joey was shady, he dismissed the rumors – and, to help show Deanna that Vanessa had nothing to worry about, he offered to prove himself trustworthy. Deanna took his challenge and rendered him silent when she asked if he had gotten involved with Vanessa after Doug had died…or before.
