Celina proves herself in The Rookie Season 8 Episode 14
The Rookie Season 8 Episode 14 gave Celina a new opportunity, but her partner was no longer interested in solving cases. Detective Hernandez believed that most cases are not criminal in nature, as the people are not missing at all. While Celina did not believe this and was determined to solve some cold cases, Hernandez’s claims came true. Celina found a cold case of a young woman and was determined to find her. She even dragged many police officers in the city to search for the woman in the tunnels but she was eventually informed that the missing woman had checked into a shelter some hours ago. Celina was disappointed but Lucy encouraged her to trust her instincts and keep working on cases.
The Rookie Season 8 Episode 14 takes a turn when Celina comes across the missing case of Apple, a woman who coincidentally lived in her building and went missing 30 days ago. Even after Hernandez’s advice to give this case up, Nolan’s rookie knocks on Apple’s apartment and is greeted by her roommate. As Celina searches the apartment, Apple’s roommate maintains that she was difficult to live with. Celina eventually found a broken tooth under Apple’s bed and this is when the roommate maces her and follows her around with a hammer. Celina eventually finds Apple and arrests her roommate, who maintains that Apple was the worst roommate ever. While Hernandez was angry at Celina for putting herself in danger, he was inspired by her good work and decided to look at more cases in the future.
