Daphne Rose is the voice of reason

Welcome to The Bold and the Beautiful Daily Y.A.P.P. (Your After-Program Ponderings) for a quick — and by that, I mean you’re already halfway done — recap of the most amazing or what-the-heck-did-we-just-watch moments on today’s episode. Let’s get to it:

Well, someone sensible has to be roaming around the Forrester Creations offices, and that role seems to have fallen upon Daphne Rose. Sure, she married Carter after knowing him for five minutes and bearing sharing scenes with him outside work, but Daphne is now the woman who tries to talk sense into others while pointing out logical facts. When Ridge and company decided Eric was to retire (without consulting Eric) and threw him a surprise retirement party, Daphne was the one who noted that in European countries, they respect their elders and don’t try to shove them out the door and put them out to pasture. That went in one ear and out the other as Ridge and company always know what’s right. (They eventually learned they were wrong.) Now, she reasonably pointed out to RJ that Will didn’t want to kick a homeless girl out onto the street, so she didn’t see the big deal when Will wanted to help Dylan. Nobody saw the sense in Daphne’s statements either time, but she tried again with Ivy as she attempted to appeal to Ivy’s better nature. That fell on deaf ears, as well. Maybe Daphne should save her breath and realize she works with a bunch of awful people who will never listen to a word she has to say, so why even bother?
