CORONATION Street has revealed Dee Dee Bailey’s exit storyline after star Channique Sterling-Brown quit the show.
The actress has starred as the lawyer mum for three years but revealed earlier this year that she had decided to leave.

And now the soap has revealed her exit storyline – with Dee Dee planning to move thousands of miles away from Weatherfield.
When the Bailey family were first introduced, Dee Dee was a never-seen but frequently mentioned high powered lawyer in Los Angeles.
So it’s fitting that after three years in Weatherfield, Dee-Dee has decided to move abroad – but this time to Singapore.
In today’s episode she was confronted by a furious Maggie Driscoll for breaking up with boyfriend Ollie but let nothing slip.

Once Maggie has been sent away, Dee Dee told best friend Alya of her job offer – and that she’d decided to move.
Alya questioned whether Dee Dee had thought it through, including what taking daughter Layla away from her family would mean, but she was resolute.
Back in October, Channique confirmed she had quit the show.
“I made the decision in spring, and it wasn’t a rash decision,” she told The Sun and other press.
“You know, I really took a couple of months from being offered my next year contract to actually even respond.
“I felt really torn, but I really just had, you know, the sense that it just felt like the time. I feel like I’ve been so privileged, and I’ve got to tell some great stories, and it’s been so wonderful.
“And obviously I’m very led by my faith as well. So I just really took my time over it and prayed into it.
“And I think, yeah, I found a real sense that I had done what I’d come to do, if that makes sense, not that I ever knew exactly what it was, but it just felt like I had achieved what I was sent here to do, so it was time to be brave.”
An emotional Channique added: “It’s been brilliant. I don’t think I could have written it either, like, I think it’s been exactly what it was meant to be.
“I’ve learned so much. I’ve made amazing friends, and I just loved this character, like, I‘m gonna get all get emotional on you all now. I’ve loved playing her.”
