Colman Domingo’s holiday fashion advice

When it comes to holiday style and wild true-crime tales, Colman Domingo is serving major energy this season. From giving us the ultimate fashion rules to spilling the tea on the outrageous ’70s drama of Dead Man’s Wire, he’s keeping it classy, festive, and totally unforgettable

Colman Domingo’s holiday fashion advice: “I really stand by this, and I don’t care what the invitation says. Hear me out if it says ‘casual,’ ‘holiday festival,’ or ‘ugly sweater,’ don’t do it! Dress up. Wear a tuxedo, wear a gown, Mariah Carey the event. Go high! Go super festive, and you’ll always feel like you’re the party. You want to make people smile.”

Colman Domingo on Dead Man’s Wire: “It’s a true story from 1977, when Tony Kiritsis held up a mortgage lending company because he felt wronged. I play a guy named Fred Temple, based on a real D.J. named Fred Heckman. He was the only person Kiritsis would talk to, so I was able to talk him down. This guy just gets caught up in the whole event and it was all televised! The ’70s were wild. People were doing the wildest things.”
