The duo had shocked fans in October when they revealed they would be leaving the show at the end of the current series.

After the final three couples – Amber Davies, George Clarke and Karen Carney – had danced their first two routines, Claudia started to tell viewers that the lines were open.

But she got a shock as the pro dancers appeared in black wigs alongside her.

Claudia struggled to speak between her shock and giggles, and that continued when she saw judges Anton Du Beke and Craig Revel Horwood also wearing them.

STRICTLY TOURING

Strictly tour 2026 – how can I get tickets and when are the dates?

Strictly viewers were loving it too, with one writing on X: “can’t stop laughing at the professionals and judges dressing up as claudia to announce the voting was open.”

Another added: “THEY’RE ALL CLAUDIA. Absolutely incredible.”

A third tweeted: “Gonna miss Claudia and the Clauditorium so much.”

Meanwhile a fourth commented: “Moment of silence because all the pros dressing up as Claudia was completely iconic.”

The surprise comes after Tess admitted she’d ‘cried and hugged more than I can count’ as she bid a sad farewell to the Strictly crew before her last ever live show.

She shared an emotional video to her Instagram page and captioned it: “Not even live and cried and hugged more than I can count.

“Nearly final time, good luck to our couples tonight, we’re rooting for you! Let’s go out with a bang (and maybe another tear or two).”

In the video, Tess could be seen in a red velvet suit as she made her way through Elstree Studios.

Over the video, the song You’ve Got The Love played, but Tess could be heard speaking at various points.

She told one colleague: “When I read that last out link, that link me and Claud read together…that’s gonna get me.”

She was then seen on the dance floor with Claudia, 53, as she held a mic and told the gathered crew: “And sharing it with all of you, I swear I love all of you.”

As she choked up, she continued: “Because I feel like we’ve shared part of our lives…our children and everything we’ve shared…So thank you for that.”
