Chipotle has never been shy about rewarding its most devoted fans, and the latest promotion from the beloved fast-casual chain may be its most exciting yet. The Chipotle Burrito Vault: Double Protein Edition is officially live, running from March 30 through April 1, 2026, and it gives players a genuine shot at winning free burritos for an entire year — no purchase required.

How the game works
The promotion lives at unlockburritoday.com, where players log into their Chipotle Rewards account and attempt to crack a secret combination of burrito ingredients known as the Combo. Every hour on the hour, from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. Eastern Time each day, a new Drawing Period begins and a new Combo is set. Players get up to four guesses per Drawing Period, and after each guess the website will tell them which elements they got right and which they missed — think of it as a delicious, high-stakes puzzle.
The key is speed. The first person to correctly guess the Combo in each Drawing Period walks away with free burritos for a year. Everyone else is racing to guess correctly before the available prizes run out.
What you can win
There are several prize tiers available, and the rewards are genuinely worth competing for.
The grand prize is Burritos for a Year, which consists of one free regular menu entrée per week for 52 weeks, valued at $554.44. A total of 33 of these prizes are available across the promotion. Six additional winners will receive the upgraded Double Protein Burritos for a Year prize, worth $773.76, which includes a free entrée with double protein each week for a full year.
For everyone else who guesses correctly before supplies run out, there are two additional prize levels. Up to 3,600 players per standard Drawing Period will receive a Buy One Get One Free code, valued at up to $10.47, redeemable for a free regular menu entrée with the purchase of another at regular price. Players who guess correctly after the BOGO codes are claimed but still land among the first 2,000 correct guesses will receive a Double Protein Code, good for a free double protein add-on on any regular entrée, valued at up to $4.41.
The Double Protein Power Hour
Once per day during the promotion, one Drawing Period will be designated the Double Protein Power Hour. During this special window, the prize pool expands considerably. Up to 7,200 players can win a Double Protein BOGO Code — good for a free entrée with extra protein when you buy one at regular price, valued at up to $19.29. An additional 4,000 players can win a Double Protein Code. And in a notable twist, the first two players to crack the Combo during the Double Protein Power Hour will each win Double Protein Burritos for a Year.
All BOGO codes, Double Protein BOGO codes and Double Protein codes are valid through 11:59 p.m. Eastern Time on April 2, 2026, and cannot be combined with any other offer or discount.
Who is eligible and how to get started
The promotion is open to legal U.S. residents across all 50 states and the District of Columbia, as well as Canadian residents outside of Quebec, who are at least 13 years old and hold a Chipotle Rewards account. Players under the age of majority in their state or province will need a parent or guardian’s permission to enter. Each player may submit one entry per Drawing Period, and prizes are delivered directly to the Chipotle Rewards account used at the time of entry.
With a total prize pool valued at over $2 million and 36 Drawing Periods spread across three days, there are plenty of opportunities to play — and plenty of reasons to keep checking back every hour.
