Dutton Ranch comes straight from the Yellowstone universe created by Taylor Sheridan, and viewers seem to enjoy the series a lot. So far, seven episodes have come out, and a lot has changed in the story.
In the latest episode 7, viewers are left with a major mystery surrounding Beulah Jackson’s sudden collapse. She’s the powerful owner of the neighboring 10 Petal Ranch, known for its history that stretches back to almost two centuries.
Right from the beginning, Beulah was seen as a woman who knows how to control situations the way she wants, but in the latest episode 7 of Dutton Ranch, she collapsed. There are several potential threats, but one moment really stood out because of its timing.
Just before Beulah fell to the ground in pain, Carter created a shocking scene at the 10 Petal Ranch anniversary celebration after drinking heavily and losing control of his emotions. While this does not confirm that he’s the one responsible for Beulah’s emergency, his drunken outburst is the last major event shown before she collapses, which makes it hard to ignore.
More details below!
Dutton Ranch episode 7: Carter’s emotional breakdown right before Beulah’s collapse

Episode 7 of Dutton Ranch is titled “Den of Sin“, in which Carter seems hurt when Oreana does not return his feelings. Things get even worse during the anniversary party when she chooses to spend time with Harrison, a person she already knew from college.
This becomes painful for him because people then start comparing Carter with Harrison. Since Carter left Montana, he has been dealing with loneliness, and now a new rejection has made his journey even more challenging.
Feeling embarrassed and overwhelmed, he takes a bottle of alcohol and starts drinking by himself inside the Jackson family’s house. Carter becomes intoxicated, which is quite visible from the way he acts and judges people around him.
While wandering through the house, Carter enters Beulah’s office and takes a mounted bull’s head off the wall. Later, he carries it outside to the celebration and throws it onto the ground in front of everyone, damaging it and shocking the guests.
What makes this moment important is what happens next. Shortly after Carter creates the disturbance in episode 7 of Dutton Ranch, Beulah suddenly grabs her neck and collapses in front of those attending the event.
The episode never says that Carter directly caused her medical emergency. However, because his outburst happens immediately before her collapse, the two events seem to be connected.

Dutton Ranch episode 7: Beulah’s shocking announcement creates new enemies across the ranch

The decision surprised almost everyone, especially Joaquin. Many people had assumed that he would eventually inherit the ranch, so Beulah’s choice created immediate conflict within the family.
Before this happened, Beulah even had a private talk with Rob-Will. She’s aware of how violent he can be and his troubled history, yet Beulah believes that he can protect the ranch from threats.
Not only this, but episode 7 of Dutton Ranch also revealed the traumatic experience Beulah had. It’s revealed how Rob-Will was born, after which Beulah had to take revenge for the man responsible.
By the end of the night, several people were upset with Beulah because of her decision. Her announcement damaged relationships and left some family members feeling betrayed.
