On the April 17, 2026, episode of General Hospital, we learned just how painful it was for Carly to sleep with Jack last week, knowing Valentin knew exactly what was going on. The most surprising couple of the decade has it bad for one another and this week was Carly’s time to prove that.

It was time for a little brother-sister chit-chat in Carly’s Kitchen and Carly (Laura Wright) didn’t disappoint. We’re sure the last thing that Lucas (Van Hansis) expected to hear when he was invited over for a Carly-cooked meal was that she was in a hot new romance with someone brand-new. Not only that, but she was also still with Jack, which meant she was cheating on the WSB station chief. Scandalous, right?
Well, it’s much more scandalous than Lucas realizes because Carly is cheating on one WSB boyfriend with another WSB boyfriend, but this one lives in Carly’s attic rather than Carly’s hotel. (Isn’t Carly the most hospitable gal in town?)
During this visit, we learned that Carly shops at Amazon because there were several everyday household items in a box on her kitchen table. As Lucas searched for the new garlic press, he also found a men’s shaving kit, which clued him into the fact that Carly was indeed hiding something. He just doesn’t know that she is also hiding someone.
Carly reveals herself
Both Lucas and the audience were let in on another secret. It’s not just the great sex. Carly actually really likes Valentin (James Patrick Stuart), the person. In fact, she likes him so much that she couldn’t stop raving about how easy and natural it is with him. She doesn’t feel like she has to constantly watch herself and doesn’t even care that they argue all the time because her new attic boyfriend is just that wonderful. (We could have told her that years ago when he revealed himself as a piano-playing, Billy Joel-singing softie.)
Lucas couldn’t believe how Carly raved about this mystery man and noted that he had never seen her talk about a man like this…ever. He encouraged her to dump Jack (Chris McKenna) and just go for it with this man, but wait until he finds out it’s Valentin Cassadine because he might just change his mind.
We already know that Valentin has it bad for Carly, considering the romantic meals, the kisses, the wine, and the request to dump Jack. When he knew Carly was upstairs in the bedroom with Jack, he nearly lost his mind. He had to have a stick drink and then take a walk outside in his hoodie, so he could pretend it wasn’t happening.
So, now we know that Carly and Valentin have completely fallen for one another. The question is, what will they do about it when all of this is over?
