The tension between political commentator Candace Owens and journalist Laura Loomer reignited after the latter raised questions about Owens’ citizenship. On April 17, Loomer slammed Owens for questioning Erika Kirk over missing a TPUSA event at the University of Georgia due to security threats. The Candace host alleged that the TPUSA CEO skipped the event due to low ticket sales and made up a story about a threat.
Laura Loomer blasted Owens in a series of X posts and even dragged her children, saying, “Imagine having that evil b*tch as your mom.” On April 18, Owens retorted in an X post, insinuating Laura Loomer is a man, writing, “How many children have you fathered, Larry?” Later in the day, Loomer accused Owens of having a secret trust named “Battery Lane Trust.” She also questioned whether Candace Owens has mentioned this trust in her lawsuit with the Macrons.
For the uninitiated, French President Emmanuel Macron and his wife, Brigitte Macron, sued Owens last year for defamation. Owens has consistently claimed that the first lady of France was born a man.
In one of her Saturday tweets, Laura Loomer tagged the French president and asked him to inquire about Owens’ alleged trust. In her next post, Laura Loomer accused Candace Owens of holding dual citizenship. She shared a document from Macron’s lawsuit against Owens, which alleged that Owens “also holds dual citizenship” due to her marriage to George Farmer.
“Did you know that Candace Owens is allegedly a dual citizen? Lots of hypocrisy from a woman who goes around calling people foreign agents… Candace has denied having dual citizenship…but the lawsuit claims otherwise… Just last week she said her media company wasn’t foreign. Well, if she has dual citizenship, it 100% is,” Loomer alleged.
Candace Owens refuted the claim and replied:
“I am literally not a dual citizen, Laura. Feel free to ask your friends in governments. Just because someone writes something in a lawsuit, it does not make it real.”
The community note on Lommer’s post said that this was an “allegation” in the lawsuit. In a separate post, the journalist alleged that Owens and her husband “may be hiding” their assets inside the aforementioned trust.
Laura Loomer claims Candace Owens secretly owns a multimillion-dollar mansion
The LoomerUnleased host continued targeting Candace Owens and accused her of having secret assets. In an X post, Loomer wrote:
“Candace Can you please tell me more about the second home you just purchased for $7.8 million and put inside a trust? Why do you have two multi-million dollar homes in the same town? Are you and George living separately? Did you disclose these assets in your lawsuit with the Macrons? Are you hiding assets to avoid being held accountable for your alleged defamation of France’s First Lady? Should I keep going?”
In another tweet, the journalist tagged Emmanuel Macron and claimed to have located “nearly $12 million” of real estate, which she alleged that Candace Owens and her husband “appear to be hiding in a trust.” She claimed to have documentation of the real estate and trust’s tax records.
Laura Loomer asked the French president to get in touch with her to help with the lawsuit in which the Macrons have asked for several damages. Candace Owens also fired back at the Loomer’s accusation. Replying to one of her posts, Owens wrote:
“You clearly have no idea how lawsuits work. You also have no idea what the function of a trust is or how dual citizenship is obtained. The only thing you have loomered is your piss poor IQ. I genuinely laugh reading your tweets. Keep going!”
Laura Loomer has often criticized Candace Owens for her critical stance on Charlie Kirk’s widow. In recent weeks, the two have frequently exchanged sharp remarks on X.
